UK Supreme Court blog

This blog was set up in June 2009, a few months before the UK Supreme Court opened. Written by lawyers at Matrix Chambers and Olswang LLP, it provides news and commentary on the Supreme Court and its judgments, with links to original sources including articles, speeches, podcasts, cases and press articles. Links are given to judgments and upcoming hearings of the Court, and to related websites.

All About Law

This site is aimed at people interested in pursuing a career in law in the United Kingdom. It provides background information on a range of legal professions including guidance on becoming a solicitor, barrister or legal executive. There is information on legal courses including the Legal Practice Course and the Bar Vocational Course. Tips and advice are given on topics such as choosing the right university, interviews and applications, training contracts and pupillage.

Panopticon

The Panopticon blog is maintained by barristers at 11KBW in London. It monitors developments taking place in information law. The site has a section explaining what information law covers, including areas such as "data protection, freedom of information, the protection of private information under article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, breach of confidence, and the regulation of surveillance". Posts cover legal news stories including links to original sources, decisions, legislation and reports.

Insite Law magazine

Website of Insite Law magazine which is produced by Mike Semple Piggot and aimed at legal practitioners and students. The site offers podcasts of interviews with people working in different areas of the law and legal education. Recent podcasts have covered topics such as standards in UK universities, the rising costs of legal education and what is involved in doing a Ph.D. There are also interviews with the Chair of the UK Innocence Network Committee, Head of Legal at Liberty and the Director of Justice along with a series of podcasts focusing on the Bar and pupillage.

Thailand Law Forum

Website of the Thailand Law Forum (TLF), a resource founded in 1997 by American and Thai law professors, providing access to Thai legal information in English. The site includes free access to the bi-annual Thailand Law Journal. This journal contains scholarly articles written by Thai and international academics concerning Thailand law. Articles can be downloaded in HTML. The site also offers translations of business related legislation and summaries of Supreme Court opinions back to 2005.

Studio legale Tedioli

Website of Italian law firm, Tedioli. The firm is based in Mantova and specialises in agricultural, commercial, corporate, civil, family and insolvency law and arbitration. As well as information on Tedioli's staff and services a number of freely available legal resources are also provided. The News section has information relating to legal developments in Italy including recent legislation and judgements. There are also in house articles covering the various practice areas which can be downloaded from the site.

LXBN: the LexBlog Network

The LXBN website brings together recent posts from a large number of legal blogs, arranged by area of law, from Administrative to Technology. The site also acts as a portal to each individual blog. Probably the majority of the blogs are US-based, but some are based elsewhere and/or have a global focus. The site is searchable or browseable, and popular posts are highlighted on the home page. LXBN was set up by Kevin O'Keefe of LexBlogs, a US company that builds and supports blogs for lawyers.

ABA Journal

Online version of the ABA Journal, the journal of the American Bar Association. Members of the ABA can access issues from 2004 to the present. Non-members can access ABA podcasts and view a limited amount of journal content. 

The China Collection

Blog focusing on Chinese law edited by Donald Clarke of George Washington University Law School and other specialists in Chinese law and related affairs. It covers Chinese legal developments, conferences, publications and research resources and has an archive extending back to 2005. The site has links to a set of research guides on Chinese law.
