Hardwicke

Hardwicke is a London-based barristers’ chambers covering many areas of civil, family and public law. Its website has a Resources section which provides case summaries, articles, legal news and two calculation tools for lawyers: a Rent Arrears & Mesne Profits Calculator and a Simple Interest Calculator. There are also sections of the site covering Hardwicke’s work in the fields of commercial law, insurance law, public law and property and private client law.

Socialist Lawyer

The journal of the London-based Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers, an association independent of any political party. The journal is available the Society’s website from issue 42 (November 2005) onwards. It covers legal developments in the UK and overseas, with a focus on civil liberties and social justice. Past issues of the journal are provided in full, in pdf format, while access to the current issue is limited to selected articles.

Journal Online

Website of the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland, providing current articles and an archive of past issues going back to January 1999. The site also includes a blog, a discussion form and information about events.

Parliament of Georgia

The Parliament of Georgia website, containing a list of the members of parliament, and recent news. From the homepage access is given to the constitution and regulations of the parliament in pdf format, in English; however, the legislation pages are in html format and only available in Georgian. The International Acts section has links to international conventions, agreements and treaties of which Georgia is a party, as Word documents. There is also a section of useful links to sites of the ministries and courts. Most of the page is available in both English and Georgian.

Decisis

Decisis consists of a blog and a fee-based online law reporting service covering the Irish Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court from 2011 onwards. It is the successor to the cases blog, 'Stare decisis Hibernia', created by Mark Tottenham, an Irish barrister.

Wired-GOV

Wired-Gov is a personalised email alerting service which offers the latest information on news, press releases and publications from several hundred UK government departments, official agencies, quangos and advisory bodies covering all areas of social, economic and political policy. It is free to all public sector workers, other users must pay for a subscription, although some basic news headlines and a directory of links to key websites is offered free of charge. Alerts may be sent daily, weekly or at other intervals. There is a searchable archive dating back to 1998.

UK Human Rights Blog

The UK Human Rights Blog is produced by 1 Crown Office Row, a barristers' chambers specialising in civil law. It aims to provide a free legal news service covering human rights issues. There is a link to European Convention on Human Rights along with a description and analysis of each article. Posts can be searched or browsed by subject, including, immigration, children, terrorism, public order and human rights cases.

Bar & Bench

Bar & Bench is a freely available online journal aimed at the legal profession working in India. The journal has news of legal developments in India and around the world along with feature articles, commentary, interviews and profiles of Indian law firms. The ‘Deal street’ section reports on the latest mergers, acquisitions and deals taking place in Indian law firms. Journal content can also be viewed by specific interest such as academic, corporate council, law firms, non profit and legal outsourcing. The archive is available back to 2009.

Guardian Law

This section of the Guardian newspaper website focuses on legal issues providing free access to legal news, blogs and features. As well as legal news stories there are articles written by legal experts, links to news and comment from the Guardian's legal affairs team on Twitter and links to external legal blogs and websites through the Guardian Legal Network. There is also a weekly newsletter- The Bundle- which has a round up of news, comment, analysis, blogs and readers' views from Guardian Law and elsewhere on the web.
