Cambridge Law Eminent Scholars Archive

This archive, maintained by the Squire Law Library, documents the careers of eminent scholars associated with the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Law. Records consist of an interview with the respective scholar, available as a video and as audio only, with a transcript. The interview is accompanied by additional material, such as a bibliography of the scholar’s work, photographs and biographical information. The interviews are in chronological order (commencing in 2005), with a name index.

Public Law Wales

Public Law Wales is a membership organisation promoting discussion, education and research relating to public law and human rights in Wales. It was founded in 1999 in response to devolution and membership is drawn from members of the independent bar, solicitors in private and public practice, academics from Wales’ universities and students. Details of events and copies of recent publications are given on the site which can be viewed in Welsh and English.

Judiciary of the Dominican Republic

The Judiciary website provides information on the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) the highest court in the Dominican Republic and the Council of the Judiciary which is the body responsible for judicial administration and discipline. There are profiles of the judges for both bodies along with judgements of the SCJ and decisions of the Council. The Dominican Constitution and legislation governing the judiciary are also available. The site can be viewed in Spanish only.

National School of the Judiciary of the Dominican Republic

Website of the National School of the Judiciary which is responsible for providing training to members of the judiciary in the Dominican Republic. There are details of training programmes, news items and webinars which are free to view. The site also has a virtual library providing free access to legislation and decisions of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court. An online archive (1977 to 2015) of the legal journal Revista de Ciencias Juridicas is also given in full text. The site can be viewed in Spanish only.

Mauritius Bar Association

Website of the Mauritius Bar Association (MBA) whose role is to represent the interests of barristers and improve the administration of justice in Mauritius. A directory of members can be searched or browsed by name. A list of current members of the Bar Council , which manages the affairs of the MBA , is also given on the site. 

Bar Association of Angola

The Bar Association of Angola is the body responsible for regulating and providing access to the legal profession in Angola. The website has the regulations governing the practice of law in Angola along with the Bar Association statutes and codes of practice. There are contact details for members of the national and provincial councils and a directory of lawyers working in Angola. The site can be viewed in Portuguese only.

War in Ukraine: Tracking the Conflict’s Reverberations Across the Legal Industry

This page on the Law.com International website provides legal news relating to the conflict in Ukraine. The site is monitoring the impact Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing sanctions have had on the legal industry providing news, expert analysis, features and opinion pieces. Content covers the response of law firms to the crisis, the issues faced by firms who have been working in Russia and the pro bono and humanitarian efforts being undertaken by the industry. Law.com International is a legal news site aimed at international lawyers.

Herbert Smith Freehills: Employment Notes

This section of the Herbert Smith Freehills website provides free access to an employment law blog highlighting developments in international employment legislation, regulation and litigation. Posts can be filtered by jurisdiction or category including whistleblowing, termination of employment, industrial relations, workplace related claims, health and safety and workplace culture, discrimination and diversity. The site can also be searched by keyword and results limited by content type eg. videos, podcasts or webinars.

Judiciary NI

Official website of the Northern Ireland judiciary. The site lists members of the judiciary and provides information on the court structure in Northern Ireland. There are sections on the Judicial Studies Board which oversees training for judges and on legacy litigation and inquests arising out of the conflict in Northern Ireland. A database of full text court and tribunal decisions and directions can be browsed by type, date or judge or searched by keyword. Publications can also be viewed including sentencing guidelines, press releases and bench books.
