Constitution of Guatemala

An online collection of constitutional documents from Guatemala made freely available on the Political Database of the Americas, hosted by Georgetown University in the United States. This website can be viewed in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. A full-text version of the Constitution of 1985 is provided, incorporating reforms from 1993. The Constitution is provided in Spanish and contains sections on the rights of individuals, citizenship, and the judicial, legislative and executive branches of the government.

Constitutions of the Dominican Republic

This site contains the Constitutions of the Dominican Republic from 1994, 2002, and 2010. These documents have been made publicly available online by the Political Database of the Americas, hosted by the Center for Latin American Studies at Georgetown University. This website can be viewed in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. The constitutions of the Dominican Republic are provided in Spanish only and contain sections on the rights of individuals, citizenship, the judiciary, and the legislative and executive branches of the government

Constitution of El Salvador

An online collection of constitutional documents from El Salvador, available in the Political Database of the Americas, hosted by Georgetown University in the United States. This website can be viewed in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. A full-text version of the Constitution of 1983 is provided, incorporating reforms from 2000, 2003 and 2009, and constitutional amendments from 1991 and 1992. The Constitution is provided in Spanish and contains sections on the rights of individuals, and the judicial, legislative and executive branches of the government.

Constitutional Amendments of 2017: Transition to Presidentialism in Turkey

This article, on the 2017 amendments made to the 1982 Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, is written by Serap Yazici who is Professor of Constitutional Law at Istanbul Sehir University. The article was published in 2017 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author has written an earlier guide entitled ‘Guide to Turkish Public Law and Legal Research’ which focuses on the Constitution itself and amendments adopted between 1987 and 2010 (described in a separate record).

Prime Minister’s Office

This English-language version of the website for the Icelandic Prime Minister’s Office includes translations of the Constitution of the Republic of Iceland, the Administrative Procedures Act (No. 37/1993) and the Information Act (No. 140/2012). It also provides policy summaries, news and basic information about the Prime Minister’s Office.

Includes draft laws and related documents, together with information about the progress of legislation; the Electoral Code; the Constitution; and royal speeches. Provides details of the composition of the current parliament and lists of previous members. Contains a timeline of the history of the Moroccan parliament.

Article 50 'Brexit' Appeal

This page, on the Supreme Court’s website, contains information and updates on the Article 50 appeal case that is being heard from 5th to 8th December 2016. A timetable for the proceedings, Parties written arguments and case summaries are given on this page. Transcripts of proceedings will be published on the site twice daily. There is also a link to the Court’s live video feed.

National Assembly of the Seychelles

Official website of the Seychelles National Assembly- the legislative branch of the Seychelles government. The site provides information on National Assembly members and committees and on the work of the organisation. A full text copy of the Constitution can be downloaded and there are other important documents provided including order papers, standing orders and the official Journal.

Constitution of Jamaica

Online version of the Jamaican Constitution of 1962 made freely available on the Political Database of the Americas at Georgetown University in the United States. The Constitution incorporates amendments up to 1999 and includes chapters covering fundamental rights and freedoms, citizenship, role of parliament and the governor-general and the powers of the executive.
