Constitution of Colombia

Electronic copy of the 1991 Colombian Constitution made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and is amended up to 2015. There are chapters on fundamental rights, the organisation of the state and the role of the executive, legislative and judicial branches.

Constitutional Court of Colombia

The role of the Colombian Constitutional Court is to determine the constitutionality of laws and amendments of the Constitution. It also protects the fundamental rights of the people under the constitution. There are profiles of the justices, a full text copy of the Constitution and abstracts of the main decisions of the Court. The site can be viewed in Spanish and English.

Constitutional Court of the Dominican Republic

Official website of the Dominican Constitutional Court. The site gives information about the Court and its members, news items and full text judgements back to 2012. The Constitution and other laws governing the Court can also be found here. Copies of the Dominican Journal of Constitutional Law, published by the Court, can be viewed along with information about the work of the Center for Constitutional Studies, a research and training body set up to support the work of the Court. The site can be viewed in Spanish only.

Constitution of Mauritius

Electronic copy of the 1968 Mauritian Constitution, amended up to 2016, made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution can be accessed in a range of formats including PDF and HTML. There are chapters covering fundamental rights, the role of the president, parliament, the judicature, the Rodrigues Regional Assembly and other public bodies. 

Vietnam Government

The Vietnam Government website has information covering the history, political system, economy and geography of the country. A copy of the 1992 constitution and a profile of the president are also given along with government news, links to government departments and a database of legal normative documents many of which have been translated into English. The site can be viewed in Vietnamese, Chinese and English.

Legal Normative Documents

Database of full-text Vietnamese laws (including the 1992 constitution amended up to 2001) made freely available online by the Vietnam Ministry of Justice. The documents (including decrees, circulars, ordinances and codes) can be searched by keyword and browsed by date, type and department. There is also an advanced search option. The site is available in Vietnamese with an English interface and a number of documents translated into English.

ConstitutionNet

ConstitutionNet is a project of International IDEA (Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance) designed to provide information for constitutional lawyers and practitioners. The site has a selection of FAQs about constitutions and what they can do along with a collection of video ‘primers’ on what constitutions are and how they are made. Country profiles give a history of their constitution and recent news items. Full text publications, arranged thematically, cover topics such as constitutional rights and constitution building.
