The first part looks at governmental, parliamentary and judicial power in Spain, covers the status of autonomous communities and provides links to relevant websites.

A Guide to Legal Research in Uzbekistan

Online guide to political and legal systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan with reference to legal sources in print and on the Internet. The guide was written by Maria Stalbovskaya, reference librarian at the Open Library for Legal Information in Uzbekistan in 2002 and updated in 2024 by Mirfozil Khasanov. The guide is published on the Globalex Website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Guide to the Lithuanian Legal System

A research and resource guide offering an introduction to law and the legal system in Lithuania, describing sources of law including free internet sources and materials in English. The guide has been prepared by Elona Norvaisaite, reference librarian at the Law and Politics Reading Room of the Information Center of the National Library of Lithuania. The guide was published in 2005 and updated in 2023 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Information about drug treatment court initiatives in the United States, on the website of the Department of Justice. Includes statistical and topical updates from different parts of the United States and elsewhere, as well as documents on programme implementation and evaluation. Training and funding sources are also covered.

Asian-Pacific Law and Policy Journal

An online journal developed by the William S. Richardson Law School at the University of Hawaii at Monoa. The journal is published twice a year and is available from the inaugural edition, February 2000, onwards. It focuses on a range of jurisdictions, including China, Japan, Korea, the United States and the Pacific and Southeast Asian regions generally.

Vera Institute of Justice

The website of the Vera Institute of Justice is an online information resource offering information about the Institute's activities in the field of criminal justice. Its scope is international, though its head office is based in New York. The Institute works with government officials in New York as well as those in other countries and the site describes these working relationships. The site gives details of the many projects the Institute supports dealing with immigration and justice, youth justice, policing, sentencing and corrections and the judicial process.

Critical Criminology

Critical Criminology is an international peer-reviewed journal published by Springer on behalf of special interest sections of the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. The journal offers postcolonial, anarchist, feminist, Marxist, cultural, integrative, peace-making, postmodernist, queer, indigenous, southern and green perspectives on criminology. Full text is available to subscribers only but a number of articles are open access.

Index to 19th Century French Political Trials from the Labadie Collection

Index to a collection of more than 400 verbatim reports of trials against leaders of revolts, journalists and their editors, which took place in France during the 19th century. The reports are part of the Labadie Collection at the Special Collections Library of the University of Michigan and the index is published on the Library's website.
