South Eastern Circuit

Website of the South Eastern Circuit, the largest of the six Circuits in England and Wales. Chronological tables of Private and Personal Acts from 1539 to 2008, Local Acts from 1797 to 2008, and Northern Ireland Statutory Rules from 1923 to 2023, giving details of amendments and repeals. The tables are on the Legislation.gov.uk website; the site's Changes to Legislation page covers post-2008 local/personal/private act amendments and repeals. The tables are compiled by the Law Commission, Scottish Law Commission and Northern Ireland Statutory Publications Office and were originally published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO).

The Copyright Tribunal was established in 1989, its main function being to make rulings regarding the terms and conditions of licences offered by, or licensing schemes operated by, collective copyright licensing bodies. Provides information about becoming a solicitor or barrister and details of firms and chambers offering training contracts, vacation work or pupillages. Podcasts covering a range of training topics ,such as interview technique and working as a trainee, are available and there is a searchable database of law courses. Guidance is given on alternative careers, including working as a coroner or a legal executives and working in the civil service or local government.

Help and guidance for the general public in the UK on law and rights relating to privacy, benefits, housing, employment, debt, discrimination, consumer protection, immigration and other topics. The site is produced by Citizens Advice, a charity. Where appropriate, users are directed to additional sources of expert advice. It is in Welsh and English.
