Industrial Relations Court of Australia Decisions

A web database, forming part of the AustLII service, containing judgments of the Industrial Relations Court of Australia from 1994 to 2001. This Court has now closed. Cases provided are in HTML format and can be searched and browsed by name or date. Canadian Institute of Resources Law

Internet website providing general information about the Canadian Institute of Resource Law which was formed in 1979 by the University of Calgary to undertake and promote research in Canadian resource law and environmental issues. The website provides background details of the Institute's mandate, governance and management structure, with staff profiles and contacts list. Publications include reports, papers and conference proceedings, some of which are available in full text online.

Resolution Institute

Website of the Resolution Institute, an organisation formed following a merger between the Australian Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (IAMA) and the Leading Edge Alternative Dispute Resolvers (LEADR). The Resolution Institute is a non profit membership organisation promoting arbitration and facilitating the sharing of knowledge about alternative dispute settlement throughout associated professions and industries. The site provides membership information including training, qualifications, events etc.

Law Handbook Online- Victoria

Electronic version of the Law Handbook, a practical, plain English guide to the law in Australia. The Handbook was compiled, and made freely available online, by the Fitzroy Legal Service a community legal centre based in Victoria. The Law Handbook is arranged by topic headings such as dealing with the legal system, families and children, managing your money, fair treatment, buying and selling and dealing with the government. The text has links to external web resources including legislation and organisations, other sections within the Handbook and words featured in the glossary.

National Judicial College of Australia

Website of the National Judicial College of Australia, the organisation that provides training and professional development for judicial officers in Australia. The site has details of Council members and other officials and details of courses offered by the College. There is information on past and future conferences held by the College and full text conference papers are available to download. Recent topics covered include judicial reasoning, the Australian justice system in 2020 and communication in the courtroom.

National Legal Aid

Website of National Legal Aid (NLA) the organisation representing the state Legal Aid Commissions in Australia. The stated aim of the NLA is to "promote leadership and management of a national system of legal aid through the coordinated efforts of Commissions by sharing resources, knowledge and systems which enhance best practice and value for money in the delivery of legal aid to clients across eight States and Territories".

Australian Human Rights Centre (on AustLII)

This section of the AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) website provides information about the Australian Human Rights Centre (AHRCentre), an inter-disciplinary research and teaching institute based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The Centre is engaged in research and teaching on Australian and international human rights law and publishes the Australian Journal of Human Rights and the Human Rights Defender.

Construction law made easy
