Internet Library of Law and Court Decisions

Description:

This website provides summaries of court decisions relating to the internet and new media. It is compiled by Martin Samson, a partner in the New York law firm of Davidoff Malito & Hutcher LLP. The decisions are organised alphabetically by subject and within these categories by case name. Subjects covered include copyright and trademark infringement, dilution and other intellectual property issues, jurisdiction, linking, meta tags, pop-up ads, consumer complaint sites, tax, clip-art, online defamation, domain name disputes, e-mail, privacy, subpoenas, MP3s, encryption, gambling, click-wrap agreements, shrink wrap licenses, and spam. A brief synopsis and a more detailed summary are provided giving facts, analysis and quotes from the cases. Where possible a link is given to the full decision. Some relevant statutes are also included, together with details of the Federal Court of Appeals and links to state legislation. There is a section providing relevant articles, and a free e-newsletter is available.
