Website providing information and materials from the drafting history of the Basic Law of Hong Kong. The site is a joint project of the Centre for Comparative and Public Law and the University of Hong Kong Libraries. Materials are arranged into the following sections: Drafting Materials; News Coverage; the LEGCO Database and Textual History. The Drafting Materials section provides documents prepared or used by official bodies and individuals from 1985 to 1997; News Coverage provides access to press articles on committee and sub-committee meetings from 1985 to 1990; the LEGCO Database includes debates of the Hong Kong legislature on the Basic Law, 1986 to 1991; and Textual History has drafts of each article of the Basic Law. The documentation is mostly in Chinese, but some materials are available in English.
