Trans-lex is a legal research tool for transnational law developed by the Center for Transnational Law (CENTRAL) at the University of Cologne in Germany. It has four main sections: Principles, Bibliography, Materials and Archive; there is also an outline of the history of transnational commercial law. The Principles section covers around 150 principles and rules of transnational law, with references to academic texts, court decisions, legislation, treaties and model laws. The Materials section provides national legislation from all around the world, treaties, principles/restatements/model laws, arbitration and mediation rules. The Johnny Veeder Archive of Historic Arbitration Awards & ADR Materials consists of rare historical documents on the subject of arbitration / alternative dispute resolution, from antiquity, the middle ages and the modern era.
