Judicial Training Institute

Description:

The Judicial Training Institute (JTI) is a Ghanaian organisation providing training for judges, magistrates and judicial staff in Ghana. The JTI organises “programmes and activities to meet both the professional needs of individual members of the judiciary and the judicial service and the capacity-building needs of the judiciary and the judicial service as a whole”. These programmes include “orientation training sessions for new judges and magistrates, professional development programmes focusing on emerging issues and social contexts, and career training for court and administrative personnel”. The programmes are only available for targeted participants and are held in person. The website also contains a variety of educational resources, such as a small selection of acts, decrees, laws and judgments; codes of conduct; papers released by the JTI; and publications by members of the JTI. Members of the judiciary can log in on the Judgments page to access a database of judgments, the e-Judgment Web Portal.
