The Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) is an initiative of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Bank. The main aim of the GLTN is to alleviate poverty and contribute to achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, through land reform, improved land management and security of tenure. The website has background and organisational information about the GLTN and its partner organisations. There is information on the GLTN's work in developing land tools covering the following themes: land rights, records and registration; land use planning; land management, administration and information; land law and enforcement; land value taxation and cross cutting issues. Information on individual tools that have been developed in different countries is also available on the site. An e-library provides publications dealing with land law and land rights and other features include a discussion forum, news, events and a list of related web links.
