Official website of the United States Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) which forms part of the US Department of Justice. The EOIR administers the immigration court system which adjudicates immigration cases deciding whether immigrants should be deported. There is information on the structure and work of the EOIR, litigation notices, statistics and news items. The Virtual Law Library includes decisions of the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, a copy of the Immigration and Nationality Act and a list of countries with Temporary Protected Status. TPS enables people already in the US to live and work there temporarily if they are nationals of a country experiencing armed conflict or other disasters.
