Its databases provide details of national legislation relating to the audiovisual sector (IRIS Merlin, AVMSD, OPUS), cases and commentary regarding freedom of expression (VERBO), cinema admissions figures (LUMIERE), a directory of film and TV works available via on-demand services in Europe (Lumiere VOD) and a searchable directory of audiovisual services and video sharing platforms (MAVISE). The databases can be searched by country, type of law, date and other criteria; the “Yearbook online” database service requires a paid subscription. The site also gives access to European treaties pertaining to the audiovisual industry. It is available in French, English or German.
