Guide to online primary resources for Western European history, compiled by Richard Hacken, European Studies bibliographer at Brigham Young University, Utah. The resources are mainly transcriptions, facsimiles and translations listed chronologically, which illuminate the political, economic, social or cultural implications of important historical events. Arranged under the headings Medieval & Renaissance Europe, Europe as a Supernational Region and by country, the resources include early laws and legal texts such as the Ordinance of Louis the Pious, the Capitulary of Charlemagne, the Treaty at Aix between Louis II and Charles the Bald and websites focusing on Roman law, Salic law and laws of the early Christian church.
