COMESA is an inter-governmental body encouraging economic cooperation between countries in East and South Africa. Member states include: Angola, Burundi, Comoros, D.R.Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Court of Justice is the judicial institution of COMESA, involved in the enforcement of collective decisions, judicial safeguards, interpretation of the COMESA treaty, and disputes between member states arising from interpretation. The official languages of the Court are English, French and Portuguese. It is presented in English and provides notes on the Court's composition, jurisdiction and functions.
