Compilation of information and documents from the drafting history of the Hong Kong's Basic Law (constitution), provided by of the Centre for Comparative and Public Law and the University of Hong Kong Libraries. Materials are arranged into the following sections: Drafting Materials; News Coverage; the LEGCO Database and Textual History. The Drafting Materials section provides documents prepared or used by official bodies and individuals from 1985 to 1997; News Coverage provides access to press articles on committee and sub-committee meetings from 1985 to 1990; the LEGCO Database includes debates of the Hong Kong legislature on the Basic Law, 1986 to 1991; and Textual History has drafts of each article of the Basic Law. The documentation is mostly in Chinese, but some content is in English.
