Court of Restitution Appeals reports

This site provides access to full text law reports of the United States Court of Restitution Appeals, digitised and made freely available online by Harvard Law School Library. During World War Two the Nazis compelled many victims in occupied countries to sell properties and businesses. After the war the Western Allies agreed to restitute property taken and the United States, France and Britain each passed different legislation governing the restitution of property taken by Nazis.

Legal opinions and journals on Google Scholar

Google Scholar, Google's search engine for scholarly literature, now includes full text legal opinions from US federal and state district, appellate and supreme courts. To restrict searches to legal materials users should click the radio button "Legal opinions and journals" before entering search terms. Opinions can then be searched by case name, keyword, phrase or citation. Using the advanced search option enables searching of just US federal court opinions or opinions for individual states.

Juridoc

Juridoc is the law website of New Caledonia (Nouvelle-Calédonie), a French overseas territory in the Pacific Ocean. The site is provided by the government of the territory. It includes the full text of the Journal Officiel de la Nouvelle Calédonie (JONC) from 1965 onwards, together with codes, individual laws as amended, judicial decisions and administrative decisions. There is also a page of links to other law websites based in New Caledonia, and beyond. The language of the site is French.

Lockerbie Trial: Scottish Courts

This is an official website maintained by the Scottish Courts. It provides free access to information relating to the trial of the alleged terrorists involved in the bombing of the PanAm jumbo jet over Lockerbie in 1988. It includes the judgments of the Lockerbie trial and the outcome of the appeal of defendant Abdelbaset Ali Mohamed Al Megrhi in 2002.

Supreme Court of Cyprus

Official website of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cyprus. The site gives a brief outline of the legal system and the roles and functions of the Supreme Court and other Cypriot courts including the district, military, family and assize courts and the Rent Control and Industrial Dispute tribunals. Selected judgments from 2007 onwards are available in Greek, together with a small number of case summaries in English. (A much larger collection of Supreme Court judgments, in Greek, is available on cylaw.org.)

Brazil Federal Supreme Court

Official website of the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil. The site has a judgments database and provides background and historical information about the Court. It also has a selection of case summaries made in English, Spanish and French. Links are given to Brazilian legislation, including the Constitution. The site is in Portuguese and Spanish; it also has a limited English interface.

Law & Justice Zimbabwe

Website providing access to the law and legal information of Zimbabwe, provided Aripano Infinity, a web developer based in Harare in Zimbabwe. The site offers full-text Zimbabwean legislation covering a range of subject areas including local government, administration of justice, civil law and procedure, citizenship and immigration, environment, agriculture, commerce and industry, telecommunications and health. Judgments of the Supreme Court and High Court are available in full for the years 2003 to 2007.

Decisions of the Free State High Court, South Africa

This SAFLII database provides full text access to judgments of the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Decisions are available from 2002 onwards to date and can be searched or browsed alphabetically by party name or chronologically by year. Cases can be downloaded in HTML and are provided either in English or Afrikaans. The Southern African Legal Information Institute (SAFLII) is a collaborative project of the Wits Law School in South Africa and the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) providing free South African legal information.

Decisions of the High Courts of Gauteng, South Africa

This SAFLII database provides full text access to judgments of the High Courts of Gauteng in South Africa. Decisions are available from 2001 onwards to date and can be searched or browsed alphabetically by party name or chronologically by year. Cases can be downloaded in HTML and are provided either in English or Afrikaans.
