Epseme Ephemerida

Online version of Epseme Ephemerida tes Kypriakes Demokratias, the Cyprus Government Gazette (or Official Gazette), provided by the Cypriot Government Printing Office on the website of the Ministry of Finance. The Gazette publishes official notices, legislation, international agreements, decisions of the Council of Ministers and other documentation. It is available here from December 2004 onwards, in Greek (although some of the treaties – in Supplement 7 - are in English/other languages).

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Website of the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Provides policy information, news and guidance. Includes a collection of documents relating to the Cyprus Question and lists of multilateral and bilateral treaties involving Cyprus (with citations to Supplement 7 to the Cyprus Official Gazette, or ‘COG’). The site is available in English and Greek.

Greek Law Digest: the Ultimate guide to Investing in Greece

Greek Law Digest (GLD) is an English-language guide to Greek law, an initiative of law publisher Nomiki Bibliothiki under the auspices of the government and various business organisations. Intended primarily for foreign investors and entrepreneurs, GLD consists of overview articles by Greek lawyers on different aspects of Greek law, business and finance. It also has a page of legal and business news. A Chinese version of the site is available.

Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights

The website of the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights describes the organisation and work of the ministry and provides information about the Greek judicial and prison systems (including statistics). Guidance is provided for citizens on the subjects of human rights and access to justice.The site also has details of policy consultations. The Greek legislation falling with the Ministry of Justice’s remit is also available on the site and there is a separate section providing a collection of codes.

Hellenic Republic - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The website of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has information about the ministry’s structure and officeholders and about Greek foreign policy and bilateral relations. It also gives details of services for citizens, travellers and businesses. Press releases, speeches and statements are available in the Current Affairs section.The Ministry section provides a small collection of major treaties involving Greece, in either English or French. The site is available in English, French or Greek.

Greece - Constitution

The University of Bern’s International Constitutional Law website provides 2001 and 1986 versions of the Constitution of Greece, in English. An article about Greek constitutional history by Dr. George Katrougalos (Assistant Professor, Demokritos University) is also available, together with a historical timeline from the 2nd millennium BC to the 1990s.

International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies

Website of the International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies (ICLARS) an international network of scholars and experts in law and religion. The Consortium is based at the Faculty of Law at the University of Milan. ICLARS regularly organizes conferences and publishes a book series with Routledge. The website gives details of conferences and a list of related journals, books and web links.

Ecclesiastical Law

The Ecclesiastical Law website is produced by Mark Hill QC of Francis Taylor Building Chambers and is intended to provide additional information for readers of his book, Ecclesiastical Law. There is a section on clergy discipline providing comment and guidance along with links to legislation. There is also information on faculty jurisdiction which relates to Church of England buildings. Links to full text articles written by Mark Hill are also freely available and cover subjects such as freedom of religion, Canon law and same-sex marriage in South Africa.
