HUDOC-ESC

The European Committee of Social Rights (ESC) is a Council of Europe body which monitors compliance with the European Social Charter, a Council of Europe treaty concerning social and economic rights. HUDOC-ESC is a database of its decisions and conclusions, together with related documents such as resolutions and recommendations of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers in matters relating to the Social Charter. Basic and advanced search facilities are provided. The interface and contents of the database are available in English and French.

HUDOC-EXEC

Database of documents relating to the execution of European Court of Human Rights judgments, provided by the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. Includes dossiers detailing the status of execution of each judgment (under 'Cases' on the database menu); communications from the parties to a case and from NGOs (et cetera); government action plans and reports; decisions of the Council of Ministers; memoranda; and resolutions. Coverage goes back to 1961.

HUDOC-ECRI

Database of documents produced by the European Committee for Database of documentation relating to the work of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI), a Council of Europe human rights body which monitors racism, xenophobia and intolerance in Council of Europe member states. The database contains ECRI country reports; government observations (responses to ECRI reports); policy recommendations; interim conclusions; and press releases.

CRIN: Child Rights International Network

CRIN is a UK-based non-profit organisation engaged in research, policy and advocacy in the field of children’s rights. Its work ifocuses on the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The Library section of the CRIN website includes a collection of UN documentation, a legal database and information about rights organisations. The legal database contains case summaries, national legislation, constitutions, treaties, standards, resolutions and other material on the subject of children’s rights; it is searchable by CRC article number, country and other criteria.

NORMLEX Information System on International Labour Standards

This International Labour Organization (ILO) database brings together information on International Labour Standards along with national labour and social security laws. Country profiles show which ILO conventions have been ratified, provide links to national labour laws and information on reporting obligations. There is information on which countries have ratified ILO conventions along with links to all conventions open for ratification. There is also comparative data showing which countries have ratified which conventions.

EPLex Employment Protection Legislation Database

EPLex is an International Labour Organization (ILO) resource that provides information on employment termination legislation in the various ILO member states. Legislation can be browsed by country and is usually provided in the original language. The information is also broken down and aspects such as employment contracts, substantive requirements for dismissal, severance and redundancy payments can also be browsed by country. An advanced search option is also available.

Global Database on Occupational Safety and Health Legislation (LEGOSH)

This International Labour Organization (ILO) database brings together occupational safety and health (OSH) legislation and regulatory frameworks from around the world. The database can be browsed by country or searched by keyword. The information is arranged by themes eg. regulatory framework, OSH inspection and enforcement of legislation, employers’ duties and responsibilities and specific hazards or risks. Full-text legislation is linked to via the ILO’s database of national labour, social security and related human rights legislation (NATLEX), usually in the original language.

WTO Guide to Documentation

Guide to WTO and GATT documentation, produced by the World Trade Organization’s Information Management Service. Explains how WTO/GATT documentation is organised and gives details of official document references, or ‘symbols’; also covers sales publications (as opposed to official documents). Gives an overview of key titles, such as Basic Instruments and Selected Documents and the Analytical Index to WTO dispute cases, with links to online versions (where available). Provides indexes and schedules, including a full list of all document symbols.

Supreme Court of Finland

The website of the Supreme Court of Finland provides cases, including a small collection of case summaries in English, procedural guidance, annual reports, statistics and other information. The site is mainly in Finnish or Swedish, but also offers content in Sami, English, French, Russian, German and Estonian.
