Tokelau is a Pacific island and non-self-governing territory of New Zealand which is moving towards greater self-governance. This site has information regarding the administration, economy and impact of climate change on the island. The role of the Administrator and Office of the Council for the Ongoing Government of Tokelau are outlined and there are reports from the General Fono (the Tokelau parliament) provided.

Constitution of Bulgaria

Electronic copy of the 1991 Constitution of Bulgaria made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and is amended up to 2015. There are chapters on citizenship, the fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual, the role of the National Assembly, President, Council of Ministers and the judiciary.

Tonga Primary Materials

This PacLII website provides access to a range of full text primary legal materials for Tonga including judgements, legislation, the Constitution and other court related information such as rules and practice directions. There are also links to other Tonga legal sites. PacLII is a joint initiative between the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

National Archives Research Guides: Criminals Courts and Prisons

National Archives staff have produced a number of research guides to assist archive users with their research. The guides are organised by subject and this guide focuses on finding historical material relating to the criminal justice system including court records, coroners’ inquests, wills, divorce and war crimes. The individual guides have information on the materials and how they can be searched. They also point to records that are available online.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

DOAJ is a gateway to open-access scholarly journals, covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science, humanities and law. To be included in the directory a journal must be full text, free of charge and must be peer-reviewed or subject to editorial quality-control. Journals and their articles are classified using a Library of Congress tree structure that can be browsed or searched. Around 800 law journals are included.

PULP Guide: Finding legal information in South Africa

Online guide to finding legal information in South Africa, edited by Shirley Gilmore and published by Pretoria University Law Press. The guide was updated in 2017 and is designed to assist legal researchers in accessing sources of South African law, explaining how to use the available print and electronic sources. The focus is on South African common law with some explanatory coverage of international and comparative law. The guide is available to download free of charge in PDF format or hardcopies may be purchased from the publisher on request.

Pretoria University Law Press (PULP)

PULP is an open-access publisher based at the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria. This page provides information on PULP’s publications along with links to free PDF versions. Titles include the most recent editions of the African Disability Rights Yearbook, African Human Rights Yearbook and the PULP Guide: Where to publish articles on the law.

Circuit Commercial Court

Official website of the Circuit Commercial Court (formerly known as the Mercantile Court) which is a specialist court forming part of the Business and Property Court of the High Court of Justice. The Court handles commercial and business disputes covering issues such as sale of goods, restraint of trade, banking and financial services and disputes over contracts and business documents. Forms, guidance and the daily cause lists are provided on the site along with details of district courts in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff and Mold.
