EPLex Employment Protection Legislation Database

EPLex is an International Labour Organization (ILO) resource that provides information on employment termination legislation in the various ILO member states. Legislation can be browsed by country and is usually provided in the original language. The information is also broken down and aspects such as employment contracts, substantive requirements for dismissal, severance and redundancy payments can also be browsed by country. An advanced search option is also available.

Global Database on Occupational Safety and Health Legislation (LEGOSH)

This International Labour Organization (ILO) database brings together occupational safety and health (OSH) legislation and regulatory frameworks from around the world. The database can be browsed by country or searched by keyword. The information is arranged by themes eg. regulatory framework, OSH inspection and enforcement of legislation, employers’ duties and responsibilities and specific hazards or risks. Full-text legislation is linked to via the ILO’s database of national labour, social security and related human rights legislation (NATLEX), usually in the original language.

WTO Guide to Documentation

Guide to WTO and GATT documentation, produced by the World Trade Organization’s Information Management Service. Explains how WTO/GATT documentation is organised and gives details of official document references, or ‘symbols’; also covers sales publications (as opposed to official documents). Gives an overview of key titles, such as Basic Instruments and Selected Documents and the Analytical Index to WTO dispute cases, with links to online versions (where available). Provides indexes and schedules, including a full list of all document symbols.

Supreme Court of Finland

The website of the Supreme Court of Finland provides cases, including a small collection of case summaries in English, procedural guidance, annual reports, statistics and other information. The site is mainly in Finnish or Swedish, but also offers content in Sami, English, French, Russian, German and Estonian.

Red de Boletines Oficiales de la República Argentina

Gateway to all the Argentinian official gazettes: the gazettes of the Republic of Argentina, the Federal District of Buenos Aires (Ciudad de Buenos Aires) and the twenty-three Argentinian provinces (Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Cordoba, Corrientes, Entre Rios, Formosa, Jujuy, La Pampa, La Rioja, Mendoza, Misiones, Neuquen, Rio Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego and Tucuman).The government of each of these jurisdictions has its own official gazettes, in it publishes legislation and other official material.

Jamaica Information Service

This is the official website of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS), a government agency responsible for producing and disseminating information for the public about the Government of Jamaica. The website provides information about the history of Jamaica, as well as explanations of the roles and structure of the Jamaican Government, including details of the Governor-General, Prime Minister and other Government Ministers.

Government of Jamaica Cabinet Office

This is the official site of the Government of Jamaica Cabinet Office, which supports the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Jamaica. The website contains information explaining the function and structure of the Cabinet Office, in addition to information about the role of the Cabinet more broadly. A subsection of the website details the Cabinet Office’s areas of responsibility, of which the three main areas are modernisation, legislation and policies.

Antigua & Barbuda Laws

Collection of legislation from Antigua and Barbuda, provided by the Ministry of Legal Affairs. Many of the acts available on the site are reproduced from the Revised Laws of Antigua and Barbuda, the periodic official compilation of acts in force (these acts have chapter numbers); others are acts as passed, from the Antigua and Barbuda Official Gazette. Acts can be browsed by title, or by volume of the Revised Laws; there is also an index by year, but this is much more limited in scope.

Research Guide on Global Health Law

Online guide to global health law written by Julienne E. Grant , Reference Librarian/Foreign & International Research Specialist at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law Library. The guide was written in 2023 and updates an earlier guide which focused on international health law. The guide is on the Globalex Website, made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. Global health law is an emerging area within the field of public international law.

FCGH Alliance

Website of FCGH Alliance an NGO created in 2017 under the Swiss civil code to advocate for the creation of a Framework Convention on Global Health (FCGH). The FCGH is a proposed international treaty, developed by health and law experts, designed to address health inequalities. The website has a
freely available library of briefing papers and articles including documents covering the work of the FCGH Alliance in promoting the treaty. There is also a blog highlighting global health law issues, the activities of the FCGH Alliance and the status of the convention.
