Website of the online legal journal Annual Survey of American Law which is a student edited journal of the New York University School of Law . The journal was established in 1942 and is concerned with "exploring contemporary legal developments in the United States". The link is to the current issue, but other recent issues back to 1999 are also available online. The journal organises and publishes proceedings from an annual symposium covering particular topics such as law and the media, church and the state, U.S. immigration and the future of public education.
Website of the Animal Legal and Historical Web Center which is a project based at the Michigan State University - Detroit College of Law. The site provides free access to primary legal materials and guides to the law. US laws and cases are arranged by state or subject. Subjects covered include animal rights, dog fighting and exotic pets. There is also information on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The emphasis of the site is on U.S law but it includes legal materials from other countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Malawi, Poland and Taiwan.
Online collection of disability discrimination laws from around the world made freely available on the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) Website. The site lists more than 50 countries who have enacted anti-discrimination laws relating to people with disabilities. Most of the laws are given in full but some entries have just the sections relevant to disability discrimination. Translations (sometimes in the form of summaries) are given for non-English materials along with a source for the translation. The site also provides a list of sources for the various laws.
The Centre for Research on Globalisation (CRG) is is a Montreal-based independent research and media group of progressive writers, academics and activists who are critical of globalisation and the New World Order. In their view, globalisation and war are connected and lead to a concentration of private wealth. This site exposes the activities of global banks, financial institutions and multinationals. There are articles on the latest news events. There are archives of earlier news articles and links to other websites with similar sympathies to CRG.
The Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen is Denmark's largest law school, and one of the largest in Northern Europe. Established in 1997 by lawyer Roger A. Petersen, this site gives an English-language overview of the law of Costa Rica, with links to legislation (in Spanish). It also covers the economy, politics, demography and other subjects. The information is intended primarily for individuals and businesses with an interest in moving to, or operating in, the country. The Legal Topics section outlines more than twenty subjects, including banking law, civil law, consumer protection, criminal law, immigration, marriage and family law, and working in Costa Rica.
Website of the Science and Human Rights Program established in 1976 as a unit of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Directorate for Science and Policy Programs. The SHR "works with scientists to 'advance science and serve society' through human rights".
