Website of the National Employment Law Project (NELP) a New York based non-profit legal and advocacy organisation working on behalf of "low-wage workers, the poor, the unemployed, and other groups that face significant barriers to employment and government systems of support". The site gives details of NELP projects and includes full-text copies of project reports and press releases. Current projects listed cover the areas of immigrant workers, nonstandard workers (temporary or part-time), unemployment insurance, welfare and the low-wage workforce and work and the family.

Virginia State Bar

Website of the Virginia State Bar (VSB) a mandatory bar association representing the legal profession in the state of Virginia in the United States. The website has facts about the VSB including contact details for the Executive Committee, members of the VSB's committees and members of staff. There is information about the various sections, copies of annual reports and professional guidelines (in PDF format) and a directory of attorneys who have been publicly disciplined since January 1991.

Recommendations of the Irish Labour Court

Database of Recommendations made freely available by the Irish Labour Court (An Chuirt Oibreachais) an industrial relations tribunal which deals with disputes concerning industrial relations, minimum wage and equality issues in Ireland. All the cases are grouped into 4 categories- dispute type, legislative type, case number and alphabetically by party. This enables you to locate cases by searching or browsing. Dispute type organises cases under subject headings such as overtime, harassment, pensions and working time.

The site contains guidance relating to the legal position of shareholders in a Private Limited Company and includes information about the structure of a company and the role of directors, company secretaries and shareholders. Advice is also given on shareholder disputes, how to value shareholdings and how to sell shares in a Private Limited Company.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) deals with compensation claims from people who have been physically or mentally injured because they were the blameless victim of a violent crime in England, Scotland or Wales.
