Constitution of Ghana

Electronic copy of the 1992 Ghanaian Constitution made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and is amended up to 1996. There are chapters on fundamental rights, representation of the people, the role of the executive, legislature and judiciary along with the freedom of the media, public services, local government and the chieftaincy.

Constitution of Qatar

Electronic copy of the 2003 Constitution of Qatar made freely available online by the Qatar Government Communications Office. The Constitution is provided in English in PDF and has been amended up to 2024. There are chapters on the state and principles of government, basic pillars of society, public rights and duties and the organisation of powers including the role of the Amir and legislative, executive and judicial powers.

Nuclear Law Research

Online guide to nuclear law written by Linda Tashbook who is Foreign International Comparative Law Librarian at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's Barco Law Library. The guide was published in 2013 (and updated in 2025) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide covers international nuclear law and national law in a number of jurisdictions.

Latvian Legal System and Legal Research

Online guide to Latvian law written by Ieva Miluna who is a lecturer at the Riga Graduate School of Law. The guide was published in 2021 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The guide gives an introduction to the history of Latvia and its political system. Links are given to the websites of governmental and legal bodies and there is a section on the sources of law including the constitution, case law, general laws and regulations.

State Courts of Singapore

Official website of the Singaporean state courts. The site outlines the jurisdiction of each type of court and provides a list of judges and organisational chart. Practice directions, forms and links to full text legislation are also given along with news items and full text copies of the Judicial Times. There is guidance for people attending court and a glossary of commonly used legal terms translated from English to Chinese, Tamil and Malay. Users are directed to Lawnet (a subscription site) for judgements.

Ghana legal information institute

The Ghana Legal Information Institute (GhaLII) provides free access to Ghanaian legislation and court decisions and other legal material. The Legislation section includes current and repealed acts, plus subsidiary legislation. The Judgments section has cases from 1963 onwards, covering the Court of Appeal, High Court and Supreme Court of Ghana. GhaLII also includes the Ghana Gazette, Commercial and Industrial Bulletin, and Local Government Bulletin, African Union publications and ECOWAS material .

 

Judiciary of Seychelles

Official website of the Judiciary of the Seychelles, covering a range of different courts, including the Supreme Court, the Appeal Court and the Constitutional Court, as well as employment and family law. The site provides information about the structure and organisation of the court system in the Seychelles and about the individual courts.

Government of the Republic of Nauru

Official site of the Government of Nauru. The Government section provides background information about the structure of the various departments and ministries. The Parliament section covers bills, acts, Hansard and the role of parliamentary committees. It also hosts a searchable database (Ronlaw – Republic of Nauru Law) containing legislation, bills, judgments and gazettes, from 1850 to the current year.
