Researching the Argentine Legal System

Online guide to the Argentine legal system written by Gloria Orrego Hoyos who works at the Secretariat Training and Jurisprudence of the Public Defender's Office in Argentina. The guide was published in 2006 (and updated in 2022) on the Globalex website and is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors provide background information to the Argentine government and the executive, legislative and judicial powers.

Constitution of Turkey

Electronic copy of the 1982 Constitution of Turkey, amended up to 2017, made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution has chapters on fundamental rights and duties and the role of the executive, legislative and judicial powers.

Central Registry of Information on Looted Cultural Property 1933-1945

Website of the Central Registry of Information on Looted Cultural Property a charitable organisation set up under the auspices of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies to provide information and resources on Nazi looted cultural property. The site contains information from 40 countries which participated in the 1998 Washington Conference on Holocaust-Era Assets. Information provided for each country includes laws, policies and guidelines, official reports and research resources. Information on the site is fully searchable by phrase or keyword.

Human Rights First

Human Rights First is an advocacy organization based in New York City and Washington, DC. Areas of concern include: international justice and the ICC, international humanitarian law, international refugee policy, campaigns against torture and support of refugees and asylum-seekers in the US. Its website provides information on the aims of the organisation and its activities. It includes news alerts, press releases and papers.

World Law: Macau

Section of the WorldLII's website covering Macau, a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. The site offers links to Macau law resources on the web, including law journals, government websites, legislation, courts and case law, introductions to Macau law and indexes.

Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration

The Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration provides a permanent arbitration institution hearing national and international commercial disputes in Lithuania. It is an amalgamation of two Lithuanian arbitration institutions- the Arbitration Court at the Association International Chamber of Commerce Lithuania and the Vilnius International Commercial Arbitration. The site is available in Lithuanian, Russian and English and includes a copy of the Law on Commercial Arbitration of the Republic of Lithuania and various news items.

Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania

Website of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania. This court hears appeals from the country's five administrative courts which deal with disputes concerning public and internal administration. The site outlines the role and function of the administrative courts, provides contact details for justices and other staff of the Supreme Administrative Court. Also included on the site is a page of links to Lithuanian legal resources. The site can be viewed in English and Lithuanian.

Unbound: Harvard Journal of the Legal Left

Unbound is a freely available online journal published by students and professors at Harvard Law School. The journal is provided in full-text and is described as being a place for "left legal intellectual discussion". There are feature articles and book reviews with subjects such as the role of social justice in US legal education and the concepts of 'right' and 'left' in international law covered in the first issue. Articles can be viewed in PDF and the site also carries details of the editorial board and submission guidelines.
