Religious legal systems in comparative law: a guide to introductory research

Online guide to religious legal systems written by Marylin Johnson Raisch who is International and Foreign Law librarian at the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library of the Georgetown Law Center in Washington, DC. The guide was published on the Globalex website in 2006 (and updated in 2022) and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an introduction to religious law and general sources of information on the subject both online and printed.

Sentenzi Online

Sentenzi Online is a service hosted by the Maltese Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs offering a collection of judgements of the Maltese Courts from 1944 onwards. The collection is arranged in the following categories: selected judgements from 1944 onwards; all judgements from 2001; judgements from the last year and from the last fifteen days. Cases can be searched by date, court, judge, parties or keywords and can be viewed in summary or full-text (PDF) form although not all of the cases from 1944 to 2000 are available in full.

World Law: Malta

Part of WorldLII's World Law service containing links to Internet resources for Malta. A range of browse and search features are available on the site. Browse sections include links covering Malta's courts, government sites, lawyers, introductions to Maltese law, legislation, parliament and other indexes. Additional sections highlight subject areas including travel and tourism, foreign investment and health and medicine. A stored search will automatically search for materials relating to Malta on all of World Law.

Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates

Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates is a Maltese law firm specialising in tax, financial, trust and intellectual property law. Its website includes a legal resources library, with guidance on aspects of Maltese law including immigration, shipping, taxation and intellectual property. There is also a collection of in-house articles dealing with subjects such as tax arbitration, corporate finance, e-commerce, intellectual property law and offshore investment.

Duke Law Faculty Scholarship Repository

The Duke Law Faculty Scholarship Repository is an Open Access, freely available database of research literature produced by staff at the Duke Law School. The collection can be browsed by subject or year or searched using a simple or advanced search option which enables you to search a variety of field including author, title, keyword, subject eprint type or date. Materials include journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, working papers and preprints. The records provide bibliographic details, an abstract and a link to the full-text in PDF.

RePub (EUR Repository)

RePub is the Erasmus University Digital Repository, an open access collection of research literature produced by staff and students at the University in Rotterdam. Categories within the School of Law collection include materials from the Center for Informatics and Law, the Erasmus Center for Law and Society and the Rotterdam Institute of Law and Economics. There are also sections covering European law and private law and a collection of dissertations. The collection can be browsed by author, title or date or searched by keyword.

Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation

The Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation (AALCO) is an advisory body on international law and a legal forum for African and Asian states. Based in India, it was established in 1956 under the name Asian Legal Consultative Committee. The website describes the constitution, aims and work of the Organisation. AALCO publications are available, including reports of its meetings, the AALCO Quarterly Bulletin and a number of essays on international law.

Center for Law and Education

Website of the United States Center for Law and Education (CLE) an advocacy and support organisation whose aim is to improve educational outcomes, particularly for low-income students. The site gives background and historical information about the CLE and provides details of the Center's projects. These focus on the educational rights of disabled students, Community Action for Public Schools working to improve the quality of public education and a project aiming to improve the Title 1 program.
