United States Court of International Trade

Official website for the US Court of International Trade, aiming to provide public access to information about the Court, the history of its development and its current activities as a constituent and significant part of the federal judicial system providing corrective justice in the area of international trade litigation. The site publishes USCIT slip opinions for 1999 onwards which can be viewed in full text PDF. Rules and forms of the Court and profiles of the judges are also made available on the site.

BIJUS: Dokumentarische Schnittstelle zweier Rechtskulturen

BIJUS is a joint project between the Universities of Saarland in Germany and Nancy in France to promote communication between French and German lawyers. The first part is a bibliography to enable German lawyers to search for books on French law by using terms in German. The reverse is available in French. The second part provides a small selection of full-text key legislation in both French and German. All information is freely available and does not require registration or payment.

Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Social Law

This website gives an introduction to the Max-Planck-Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Sozialrecht, its staff, Library, teaching and research, in both English and German. Details of the Institute's publications are provided, including contents lists for its journal, "Zeitsschrift für Ausländisches und Internationales Arbeits-und Sozialrecht" (ZIAS), from volume 16 issue 3 (2002) onwards.

Canadian Trademarks Database

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office's Canadian Trademarks Database enables users to search for all active and many inactive trademarks in Canada along with words and designs that are not strictly trademarks. Keywords can be used in a variety of search fields including owner name, trademark description and registration number. Trademarks can also be searched by date, category and status. Records can be downloaded in full and there is guidance on searching the database. Users can search either an English or French language version of the same database.

Statistik Austria

Statistik Österreich, now called Statistik Austria, became an independent body in January 2000. Its remit is to disseminate national statistics in an impartial manner. Profiles cover economic, demographic, social, ecological and cultural aspects of Austria. Some information can be downloaded in PDF or Excel format, but it is not all freely available. It is also possible to search for Statistik Austria's publications by subject. All texts are in German. The English version of the site contains a limited amount of information.

Canadian Patents Database

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office's Canadian Patents Database provides access to patent descriptions and images from 1869 to the present day. The database contains over 2 million patent documents which can be searched for using either keywords, the patent document number, a boolean search or an advanced field-specific search strategy. Users can search either an English or French language version of the same database. For patents granted prior to 15th August 1978, the text of the abstracts and claims is not available.

Canadian Intellectual Property Office

Official website of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), which is a Special Operating Agency associated with the government department Industry Canada. The CIPO is responsible for the administration and processing of much of the intellectual property in Canada and has official responsibilities in regard to patents, trade-marks, copyrights, industrial designs and integrated circuit topographies.

Ontario's eLaws

This site, giving access to the full-text of Ontario's Current Consolidated Statutes online, is provided by the Ministry of Attorney General. Public and private statutes as enacted and regulations as filed are also made available back to 2000. This legislation can be searched or browsed on the site. Repealed statutes and and revoked regulations are also available along with Period in Time law for laws amended or affected by a coming into force event after January 1, 2004.
