Idaho Statutes

Internet version of the Idaho State Code, on the Idaho Legislative Department website. The Code, comprising the consolidated and codified statutes of the State, is presented via a contents table in title number order with links to sub-sections. There are links to the home page of the Idaho Government website, the Idaho Legislature and to a keyword search engine.

Washington Courts

Official government website for the State Courts of Washington State in the United States, covering the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Superior Courts, District Courts and Municipal Courts. The site provides information on the work and structure of State Courts including a Court Directory and Court News service with online press releases and details of employment opportunities. A collection of published and unpublished Supreme Court and Court of Appeals opinions are posted on the site for 90 days, searchable by date or keywords.

United States Law Week

Online version of US Law Week, the weekly digest providing headnoted summaries of State and Federal court decisions and agency rulings that set precedent, involve controversial issues, or present new perspectives on established legal principles in the United States. The online service is based on a fee-paying subscription. Registration for a free trial subscription and access to a sample issue are provided by the publisher, Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. In particular Law Week includes the full-text (with headnotes) of all U.S.

Scottish Prison Service

Official website providing general information about the organisation and operation of the Scottish Prison Service. Details are provided on the structure of the service with links to all the Scottish prisons. The site lists research material published by the Research and Development Branch of the Scottish Prison Service, including some summaries of Occasional Papers. The full-text of the SPS annual report and accounts is also available in HTML format. The site includes news, site search facility and links to other relevant resources on the internet.

Chartered Institute of Legal Executives

The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) was formerly called the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX). It is the professional organisation representing legal executives and trainee legal executives in the United Kingdom. Established in 1963 to provide education and training facilities particularly for non solicitor staff employed in fee earning work and in the management of firms. CILEx is also involved in the development and regulation of the professional conduct and practice standards of its members.

William Fry Solicitors

Internet site for the Dublin based law firm, William Fry solicitors. The site promotes the work of the firm with background information on practice areas, employment opportunities, apprenticeships, publications and partner profiles. A selection of in-house articles are presented in PDF dealing with legal topics relating to Ireland. These include asset mangement, environmental law, insurance, investment, tax and property. There is also a legal news bulletin giving details of legal developments in Irish law.

McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors

Website for one of Ireland's largest law firms. The site describes and promotes the work of the firm, highlighting areas of current specialisation in banking and financial services. "Legal Update", an electronic newsletter, appears twice yearly on the site. Legal Briefings provide information on specific subjects and can be downloaded as PDFs from the site or requested by email. Recent briefings have looked at export of cultural goods, investment funds in Ireland and Irish merger control.

Legal Aid Western Australia

Website of the Legal Aid services for Western Australia, an independent statutory body set up by the Legal Aid Commission Act 1976. The site provides organisational information and details of services including annual reports and other publications made freely available online. A selection of FAQs are given outlining how to apply for and obtain legal aid along with general information on aspects of the law, legal rights and common legal problems in Western Australia. Sections are provided on families, children, immigration, property and making a will.

Courts Service Ireland

Official website of the Irish Courts Service, providing judgments of the Supreme Court (from 2001), the High Court and the Court of Criminal Appeal (2004 onwards) in a searchable or browseable database. Background information on the history and work of the courts is available, together with court rules, forms, practice directions, news items and a diary of current and future cases. Information pamphlets and statistics are also provided and there is a glossary of legal terms.
