South Carolina Code of Laws

Official website for the South Carolina Legislature, publishing the text of the Code of Laws for the US State of South Carolina. Laws are arranged by subject in codified text and browsable by title. A full-text search facility is also provided. Additional links to the State of South Carolina Code of Regulations and Global Legal Information Network are offered by the site.

US Department of Justice

Official government Internet site for the Department of Justice in the United States, describing the structure, operation and activities of the Department and its divisions and bureaux. A collection of publications, legal documents and reports are available from the site, including the Attorney General's Annual Report, Strategy documents consultation papers and selected decisions from cases of note. Topical legal news is provided, and press released dating back to 1994.

New York State legislation

This section of the New York State Assembly website provides full text access to laws and bills for the US State of New York. Bills can be searched by number or keyword and viewed in summary and full text formats. New York State Laws can be browsed or searched on the site. The laws are arranged in alphabetical subject order. From this page it is also possible to consult the legislative calendar and current committee agendas.

New Hampshire Revised Statutes

Official website containing statutes in codified form for the US State of New Hampshire. The statutes are updated through the 2007 session. Changes to the statutes made from 1999 to 2007 are presented in a List of Sections Affected. The site provides a full-text search of the Revised Statutes and supports browsing through an index of titles. A separate Bill Status Database is accessible from this site for information about pending legislation.

States of Guernsey Government

The States of Guernsey is the official legislative and governing body of the Island of Guernsey and the other inhabited Channel Islands of Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Brecqhou and Lihou. The site's Social Security and Income Tax pages include relevant legislation. Official publications, such as consultation papers, are available on the general Government page and the departmental pages. The About Guernsey section has a description of the parliamentary system. Press releases are also available on the site.

Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland Decisions

A collection of cases from the Northern Ireland Court of Appeal, available free of charge in full-text on BAILII (the British and Irish Legal Information Institute). Cases are listed alphabetically for browsing by party name or by date. They can also be searched by keyword using the BAILII site search engine. They are available for 1998 onwards. BAILII is a collaborative service aiming to provide public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

High Court of Ireland Decisions

A BAILII database containing full-text HTML decisions from the Irish High Court. Decisions are available from 1997 onwards and there are landmark decisions dating back to 1933. The data is provided by the Irish Court Service. Decisions can be browsed alphabetically or by date or searched using the site's sophisticated search facility.The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) is a collaborative service aiming to provide public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Supreme Court of Ireland Decisions

This BAILII (British and Irish Legal Information Institute) website provides free access to decisions of the Irish Supreme Court from 1998 onwards. The cases can be browsed alphabetically by party name or by date. The site features a sophisticated search facility supporting searches of this and other databases available on the site. Decisions are published in full-text HTML format, with links to the relevant legislation. Also included are a number of earlier landmark decisions taken from the University College Cork, Law Faculty's Leading Irish Cases database.

Irish legislation

A BAILII database of statutes passed by the Oireachtas, the Irish Parliament, from 1922 onwards. Acts are listed alphabetically and by year and there is also a search facility. The collection is made freely available on the internet as part of the British and Irish Legal Information Institute service.

Scottish Sheriff Court Judgments

A small collection of case reports in criminal matters from the Scottish Sheriff Court, which deals with cases raising a significant point of law or matters of particular public interest. The Court site explains that for legal purposes "Scotland is split into six regions called Sheriffdoms". "Within these Sheriffdoms there are a total of forty-nine Sheriff Courts". "Most cases are heard before a judge called a Sheriff." Both the Scottish Courts site and BAILII pilot service offer the full-text of decisions without charge from September 1998 onwards.
