Manx Church Law

A collection of statutory materials, articles, and commentaries concerned with the ecclesiastical law of the Isle of Man. Acts and regulations of Tynwald carried by the site include: Church Legislation Procedure Act 1993, Church Representation Rules as they have effect in the Isle of Man, and the Marriage Act 1984. Further documents on the site cover issues such as: the ordination of women priests, tenure of church wardens and maintenance of church records. The documents are listed in a table with a note on content and link to full-text.

The Church of England Measures factsheet, last revised in 2010, provides a brief history of how the internal government of the Church came under Crown control. Detailed briefing paper on UK legislative procedure, produced by the House of Commons Library and published on the UK Parliament website in December 2012. Covers government bills, private members' bills, hybrid bills and other types of bill. Also has a section on the Parliament Acts and a section on more specialised procedures such as the carry-over of bills to a new session of Parliament.

Department for Communities - Law and Legislation

The Department for Communities is a department of the Northern Ireland Executive. Its key responsibilities are housing, social policy, social security and child welfare. This site features electronic collections of current Northern Ireland (NI) social security and child welfare legislation, and links to NI legislation relating to housing and social policy (such as licensing laws). There is also a link to the Northern Ireland Digest of Case Law database which includes decisions of the Social Security Commissioners and Child Support Commissioners for Northern Ireland.

Independent Case Examiner

Section of the UK government website covering the Independent Case Examiner (ICE), who investigates complaints made by users of agencies including the Child Support Agency, the Child Maintenance Service, Jobcentre Plus, the Pension Service, the Disability and Carers Service, Debt Management, Pension Wise and the Pension Protection Fund. Provides guidance on how to make a complaint and how complaints will be dealt with, additional information about the work of the ICE, annual reports and news items about the service.

This section of the Judiciary website is devoted to official reviews of civil litigation costs, from Lord Justice Jackson's prelimary and final reports of 2009 and 2010 onwards. It provides background information about the reviews, the official reports on civil litigation costs, pilot studies, press releases, speeches, responses to consultations and related documents.

Lawyers Defence Group

Website of the Lawyers Defence Group, an organisation providing advice and guidance for legal professionals on regulatory, conduct, practice, partnership and employment issues. The service is run by Richard Nelson LLP and Murdochs Solicitors. The site has information outlining the role of the various regulators including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.
