Animal Legal and Historical Web Center

Website of the Animal Legal and Historical Web Center which is a project based at the Michigan State University - Detroit College of Law. The site provides free access to primary legal materials and guides to the law. US laws and cases are arranged by state or subject. Subjects covered include animal rights, dog fighting and exotic pets. There is also information on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The emphasis of the site is on U.S law but it includes legal materials from other countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Malawi, Poland and Taiwan.

Selden Society

London-based scholarly society and publisher specialising in the history of English law. The website has information about the history of the Society, membership, publications, grants and awards offered. The Society's annual reports are available and there are links to recent Selden Society Annual Lectures on YouTube.

Law Society of Scotland Directory of Expert Witnesses

The Directory of Expert Witnesses is an annual publication published jointly by the Law Society of Scotland and W.Green. The directory contains details of expert witnesses based in Scotland or experts based elsewhere in the United Kingdom who cover Scotland. The directory can be freely searched online by name or keyword. There is also a more detailed 'structured search' option which allows you to specify an area of expertise which can be refined to a more specific subject area and then narrowed further by experience, occupation and location.

Association of Personal Injury Lawyers

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is a UK-based organisation for lawyers and law students. Its website provides information for members of the public who have suffered an injury, including a directory of personal injury lawyers, and details of specialist training for the legal profession. It also includes APIL responses to government consultations, information about its campaigns and news. Parts of the site are restricted to APIL members only.

Chancery Bar Association

Association for barristers who specialise in business, financial and property law and practise primarily in the Chancery Division of the English High Court. Its website includes a directory of Chancery barristers, information about careers at the Chancery bar, news, and videos for schoolchildren explaining different aspects of Chancery work. There is also a members-only section of the website.

CrimeLine

CrimeLine is a subscription-based e-journal founded by Andrew Keogh, formerly of Keogh's Solicitors. Intended for criminal lawyers, it features legal news, recent cases, new legislation and training material. Most of the content is for subscribers only, but freely-available material includes job advertisements, links to key criminal law statutes and a database of UK legislation on all topics (linking to legislation.gov.uk for the text of each instrument).

Fraud Advisory Panel

The Fraud Advisory Panel was set up in 1998 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to combat fraud. It is a membership organisation, registered as a company and as a charity. Its website provides information about its work with the charity sector and business community, including publications and events. The Resources section provides reports, studies, guidance and factsheets, webinars and blogs.
