E-MINE Electronic Mine Information Network

The Treaties and Law section of the E-MINE website gives access to treaties and other legal materials relating to the use of landmines. The E-MINE site is provided by the United Nations Mine Action Service. As well as giving full text copies of individual instruments focusing on landmines like the Convention on Cluster Munitions, the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Treaty ("Ottawa Convention") and the 1980 Convention on Conventional Weapons the page provides access to collections of treaties covering international human rights law, refugee law and the Geneva Conventions.

International Law Library

This WorldLII library brings together 76 searchable databases concerning international law. The databases include the International Courts and Tribunals Collection which has, among others, decisions of the International Criminal Court, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, Caribbean Court of Justice and the Timor Leste Special Panel for Serious Crimes. The Treaties & International Agreements Collection has 7 treaties databases from international organisations the League of Nations and the United Nations.

JURE

The JURE (JUrisdiction Recognition Enforcement) is a database of case law developed by the European Commission. It is now part of EUR-Lex. It contains judgments of the European Court of Justice and the courts of Member States concerning the Brussels Convention (1968), the Lugano Convention (1988), the Brussels I Regulation (2000), the Brussels II Regulation (2000), the New Brussels II Regulation (2003) and the New Lugano Convention (2007). The judgments are in the original language, with summaries in English, French and German (and the original language, if available).

Declaration of Helsinki

Text of the Declaration of Helsinki, adopted in June 1964 by the General Assembly of the World Medical Association (WMA). The document is on the WMA's website. It incorporates amendments made at subsequent General Assembly meetings. The declaration concerns ethical principles for physicians and others carrying out medical research with human subjects. It is provided in English, French and Spanish.

Columbia Law School Research Guides

A series of International, Comparative and Foreign Law Web guides prepared by Silke Sahl, International, Comparative and Foreign Law Librarian at the Arthur W. Diamond Law Library, Columbia Law School, New York, USA. Each guide is presented in HTML format and suggests relevant legal research resources with bibliographic details, local library locations and website addresses. The guides cover topics such as: Treaty Research; the United Nations; Researching Public International law; and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

European Landscape Convention

The European Landscape Convention is a Council of Europe treaty for the protrection, management and planning of landscapes. It deals with all types of landscape, but also gives special emphasis to landscapes that determine the quality of people's living environment. The Convention was signed by 18 countries on 20 October 2000 in Florence. The full text of the Convention is available on the COE Conventions website, together with an Explanatory Report and status information. All information on CoE sites is available in English and French.

Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats

The Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (ETS no. 104), often referred to as the 'Bern Convention' seeks to conserve wild flora and fauna and their natural habitats, particularly emphasising endangered and vulnerable species. The Convention was adopted in Bern on 19 September 1979 and came into force on 1 June 1982.

Trade Agreements

The Trade Agreements section of the SICE Foreign Trade Information System site developed by the Organization of American States (OAS). The site includes a collection of full text multilateral and bilateral trade agreements relating to international trade and to members of the OAS. There is documentation relating to customs unions including MERCOSUR, CARICOM, CACM and the Andean Community, multilateral agreements such as GATT and regional scope agreements. Agreements can also be viewed by country. A site search engine is available.
