Online guide to the issues surrounding the demand for and allocation of slots for satellites in the geostationary orbit (GSO) written by Iulia-Diana Galeriu who has been a Legal Intern at IATA (International Air Transport Association) (2014-2015) and an International Institute of Air and Space Law Alumna. The guide was published in 2015 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Planetary Protection Obligations of States Pursuant to the Space Treaties and with Special Emphasis on National Legislations Provisions

Article by lawyer Gustavo Boccardo, published on New York University's Globalex website and last updated in 2018. Discusses contamination of space by space exploration missions and the reverse, where potentially dangerous organisms are bought back to Earth in samples for scientific analysis. Covers the Outer Space Treaty and to the planetary protection policies of the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR). Also gives an overview of planetary protection provisions in the national law of states who are parties to the Outer Space Treaty.

Space Asset under the Space Protocol of the Cape Town Convention

Online guide to the term ‘Space Asset’ written by Pai Zheng who is Assistant Professor at the International Law School of East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) in Shanghai, China and Ruo Wang an LL.M. Candidate (Public International Law) at ECUPL. The guide was published in 2014 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

African Online Library on Law and Governance

Large free collection of African law materials, including constitutions, legislation, treaties, court decisions, journal articles and some books, together with a news service and networking opportunities. Registration is required, but there is no charge. The Library can be browsed by country, organisation, or journal title, and there are simple and advanced search facilities. For each country, there is a brief description of the legal system, a list of intergovernmental organisations in which it participates and other information.

Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry

The official website of the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. Contains links to text of trade agreements involving Malaysia, particularly relating to ASEAN (the Association of South East Asian Nations). The text of certain pieces of trade-related legislation is available to view and announcements and media releases give information on new amendments regarding trade and industry. The site can be viewed in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Dutch Civil Law (DCL)

English-language site provided by Dutch lawyer Hendri Goossens, who specialises in contract law and private international law. It describes the Dutch legal system and the foundations and principles of Dutch law generally. The Legislation page provides unofficial English translations of the Civil Code, parts of the Civil Procedure Code, several acts, the Constitution and various conventions. The site also has information about jurisdiction, the enforcement of judgments and the conflict of laws.

International law

International law section of the website of the Law Reform & International Law Bureau, which is a public sector office under the Macao Special Administrative Region Government (MSAR). The site explains Macao's status with regard to international law under the "one country, two systems" policy. It lists international agreements currently applicable to the MSAR and gives details of MSAR's participation in international organisations.  

Laws & Regulations Database of the Republic of China [Taiwan]

Database of Taiwanese updated legislation translated into English, provided by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The legislation consists of acts, regulations and directions and includes early instruments such as the Land Act of 1930 (as amended); to display the full text of an instrument, click on ‘Article Content’. Taiwanese treaties are available on this website too, from about 1950 onwards; a large proportion are in English, but many of the earlier ones (roughly 1950s to 1970s) have not been translated.

Directory of travaux préparatoires (preparatory documents) for treaties, provided by the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale University. Lists travaux préparatoires that have been published in printed form and/or online. Includes contents pages for many items and has links to some full-text documents. The directory is an ongoing project and new contributions are invited.

ATRIO: Archivio dei Trattati Internazionali Online

ATRIO (formerly 'ITRA') is a treaty database maintained by the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry. It contains information about Italian treaties in force and provides the full text of many treaties. For information about a particular treaty's place of signature, date in force and so on, click on ‘Vedi Dettaglio’ (‘See Details’). ATRIO is mostly in Italian, but some of the treaties are in English or other languages.
