California Code of Regulations

This site from Westlaw provides free access to an unannotated version of the California Code of Regulations. The content is provided by the State of California Office of Administrative Law. The site contains the text of the regulations that have been formally adopted by state agencies, reviewed and approved by the Office of Administrative Law, and filed with the Secretary of State. The site provides an Agency list, table of contents and search engine which can be searched by keyword or title and section numbers of the specific regulation.

Hong Kong e-Legislation

Database of Hong Kong ordinances, subsidiary legislation and constitutional instruments in Chinese and English, maintained by the Hong Kong Department of Justice. Has current and historical consolidated legislation from 30 June 1997 onwards, together with original legislation - as published in the Gazette - from 2000 onwards. Official verified pdf versions are gradually being uploaded and will eventually supersede the looseleaf Laws of Hong Kong.

Canada Gazette

The Canada Gazette is the official bulletin of the Government of Canada. It publishes acts of Parliament, regulations, government notices and public notices from private sector bodies. Since 1 April 2003, the pdf version of the Canada Gazette has had the same official status as the print edition. The website, which is in French and English, provides access to the Gazette from 1998 onwards. Users can subscribe to an RSS feed.

UK Statutory Instruments

The Legislation.gov.uk website brings together the legislation held on the OPSI website and revised legislation from the Statute Law Database. The site is hosted by The National Archives on behalf of HM Government. This section of the site provides access to full text UK statutory instruments, Wales statutory instruments and Northern Ireland orders in council. There is a complete collection available from 1987 onwards and a selection provided for earlier dates. Detailed Help pages and FAQs are provided along with a glossary of terms used on the site.

Acts Online - the Online South African Hypertext Legislation Series

A web database of South African legislation, including the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. The site is provided free of charge, and developed by two South African companies, FNB and Guarantee Trust Hypertext Systems. The service presents South African Acts of Parliament with amendments, schedules and regulations, updated whenever an amendment is promulgated in the Government Gazette.

UK Public General Acts

The Legislation.gov.uk website provides all UK public general acts from 1988 onwards and a large but incomplete collections of acts from 1801 to 1987. A search facility is available, or the acts can be browsed by year and title. N.B. Many revised versions of acts are offered, but they are often not fully up-to-date. The website is hosted by The National Archives on behalf of HM Government.

Ministry of Law and Justice, India

Official Website for the Government of India's Ministry of Law and Justice. The site explains the work of the Ministry. The section on the Department of Legal Affairs describes the organisational set-up and functions of the Department. The Department of Justice section provides information about the Supreme Court, High Courts and Family Court. The Legislative Department web pages provide information about the Constitution of India, and a Chronological table of acts enacted from 1834 onwards with history of subsequent amendments.

National Conference of State Legislatures

Website for the US National Conference of State Legislatures, an organisation founded in 1975 to represent state interests before Congress, the administration and federal agencies. Membership is made up of US state lawmakers and legislative staff. The site outlines the work and policies of the organisation and features regular news, views and job listings. It describes the work of the NCSL's 12 standing committees which "develop the official policy statements that determine our positions on the wide range of federal actions that affect the states".
