Belize judiciary

The official website of the Belize judiciary. The website provides judgments from the Court of Appeal (1977 – present) and Supreme Court (1972 – present). Other court information is made available, including court forms, dates of court sittings and rules of court. The site also has links to the Constitution and to ‘Laws of Belize’ (revised statutes, 2000 ed.). The website is available in English, French, German, amongst other languages.

Waterlex Legal Database

The Waterlex Legal Database brings together information about national and international water law, governance and policy. It is provided by Waterlex, an international NGO. The data is partly crowd-sourced and partly obtained from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization and other official bodies. The database is searchable by key word and can be filtered by country, region and/or type of document. For many countries, extracts from legislation are available, with links to the full text on national websites.

Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA): International Law

International law section of the Swiss foreign ministry’s website, covering topics such as privileges and immunities, neutrality, international humanitarian law and international agreements. Official reports and manuals are provided, together with links to relevant Swiss legislation and international conventions. The International Agreements page has a database of treaties involving Switzerland and provides information about the treaties for which the Swiss government is the depositary. The site is in French, German, Italian and most – but not all - of it is also available in English.

OHADA: Organization for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa

This is the official website of OHADA. The main part of the site provides the OHADA Treaty and OHADA uniform acts in English and French; it also has recent cases from the Cour Commune de Justice et d’Arbitrage and legal commentary (‘Doctrine’), but these are in French only. A larger repository of OHADA documentation can be found in the Digital Library: all issues of the OHADA Journal Officiel (Official Gazette), cases from 2010 onwards, uniform acts and other material, all in French.

Advocate Khoj

Advocate Khoj is an Indian law website intended for the general public. Its main purpose is to put people with legal problems in touch with qualified lawyers, via the ‘Post your Case’ section; registration is required to use this service, but there is no charge. Advocate Khoj also provides primary and secondary Indian legislation, Indian Supreme Court judgments, official forms, a glossary and other Indian legal information.

Documents and laws - Riksdagen

English version of the Swedish Parliament’s ‘Documents and laws’ page. Includes translations of the fundamental laws - the Instrument of Government, the Act of Succession, the Freedom of the Press Act and the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression – and a translation of the Parliament Act. Also provides a guide to the Swiss constitution and translations of parliamentary reports (some in summary form). The page gives basic information in English about various parliamentary procedures as well, together with links to the relevant parliamentary documents (which are in Swedish).

Brexit

This section of the Institute for Government (IfG) website provides information on a range of issues relating to Brexit including citizens’ rights, the European Court of Justice, the Customs Union, trade and immigration. There are papers that can be downloaded from the site on topics such as how the UK and the devolved governments should work together on leaving the EU, taking back control of trade policy, legislating Brexit and the challenges facing the civil service during Brexit. The site also has blogs written by IfG staff and gives details of events hosted by the Institute.

Western Australian Current Acts

An AustLII database featuring current legislation of the State of Western Australia. The system offers a comprehensive search facility and alphabetical browse list. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute is a collaborative public service developed by the University of Technology Sydney and the University of New South Wales to provide free Internet access to legislation and cases for Australia.
