Representing Children Worldwide

Representing Children Worldwide (RCW) was a research project of the Yale Law School conducted during 2005 by Clinical Professor Jean Koh Peters. The research is described as being a "global snapshot of legal provisions to guarantee children's right to express views freely in child protective proceedings". The project was concerned with child protection proceedings in the United States and other countries that are signatories to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child (UNCRC). The guide provides an introduction to the Chilean legal system looking at the structure of government, the types of legislation and the court system including information on the various courts in Chile.

A legal research guide to Pakistan

Online guide to researching Pakistan law, by Omar Sial of Pakistan law firm Omar Sial & Associates. The research guide was published in 2005 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. There is an introduction providing background and historical information to Pakistan, its constitutional development and the constitutional status of Islamic law. The structure of government, the law making process and the court system are also explained.

ITTIG: Databases

This page on the ITTIG (Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques) website provides information about and links to the various legal databases maintained by ITTIG. Most of the databases are bibliographic and cover articles from legal journals, disability law, information technology law, environmental law and bibliographies on various legal topics. Some of the databases are no longer updated. Free registration is required to access some of the resources. The site can be viewed in Italian and English.

European Union legal materials: an infrequent user's guide

Guide to European Union legal information, written by Duncan E. Alford, Associate Dean for the Law Library and Associate Professor of Law at the University of South Carolina School of Law. The guide was published in 2005 (and updated in 2016 by Alyson Drake of the Texas Tech University School of Law Library) on New York University law school's Globalex website. The author gives a brief overview of the European Union, its official websites and principal institutions. There is a reading list of recommended introductions to EU law, dictionaries and directories.

Law in Ghana is an online subscription database produced by DataCenta Ltd, an electronic publishing company based in Ghana. The site provides access to computerised versions of Ghana's legal materials including statutes, law reports, legal news and journal articles.

Researching intellectual property law in the Russian Federation

Online guide to intellectual property law in the Russian Federation written by Julian Zelgelman who is a corporate and intellectual property attorney with Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel a business law firm based in San Jose, California. The guide was published in the features section of LLRX.com in August 2005 (and updated in February 2009) and looks at primary sources of intellectual property law in the Russian Federation (including links to resources available in English) and suggests various printed and electronic secondary materials.
