Westlaw UK is an online legal research service for the UK and EU, created by leading UK publishers Sweet & Maxwell. It is a subscription service, accessed by password. Westlaw UK provides a comprehensive collection of legal sources: UK and EU case law, UK and EU legislation, EU official publications, journal articles, Legal Journals Index, textbooks and encyclopaedias, news and business information. The website provides background information, technical specifications, support details and a feedback form for expressions of interest.

Gazette du Palais

Web pages of the Gazette du Palais, the French law journal and current awareness service for the legal profession in France. The printed Gazette has been in publication since 1881. Features of the website include the "fonds documentaire", the "s?lection gazette", and the "copies d'arr?ts". To gain full access, a subscription is needed. The site is in French throughout.

Medical Litigation Online

An online medical negligence information service for UK professionals and the public from the publishers of Medical Litigation magazine edited by barrister Geoff Hall. The site is subscription only providing access to Medical Litigation Cases, a database of articles and details of experts and counsel. Summaries of relevant news stories are made freely available back to 2005 and can be searched by keyword. A page a related web links is also provided.

Famous Trials

Website compiled by Doug Linder, Professor of Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School, for educational and non-commercial purposes. Provides materials relating to famous trials, mostly American, ranging in date from the Salem Witchcraft Trials of 1692, to the Clinton Impeachment Trial of 1999. World trials are also featured e.g. the trials of Socrates and Galileo and the Nuremburg Trials.

Pennsylvania legal research websites

Website developed by Duquesne University Law Library in Pittsburg, USA providing a collection of links to Pennsylvania legal research sites. The service is aimed at scholars, lawyers and other users carrying out Pennsylvania legal research. Links are given to government and legislation sites, general Pennsylvania legal sites, law schools, legal journals, courts and case law, court rules, statutory law, professional associations, news sources, county information and legal subjects.

Jersey Legal Information Board

Official Jersey law site, produced by the Jersey Legal Information Board. Provides case law, primary and secondary legislation, journal articles and related information. Revised laws, laws as enacted and annotated laws are available. The Jersey Law Reports are provided from 1985 to 2009 and unreported judgments from 1997 onwards, together with practice directions, court rules and other court information.

Judiciary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China

Official website of the Judiciary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. A database of judgments, in English, is available on the Judgments and Legal Reference page. It covers the periods 1946-1948 and 1966 onwards (Court of Final Appeal, Court of Appeal of the High Court, Court of First Instance of the High Court, District Court, Family Court and Lands Tribunal). The website also provides a collection of Reasons for Sentence and Reasons for Verdict, plus court lists, forms, various reports and other information.

Directory of Decisions

The Directory of Decisions is made available by the Law Library at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. The Directory provides information on the various courts, tribunals, statutory authorities, ombudsmen, panels and commissioners who make legal or quasi-legal decisions. Records give information regarding the jurisdiction of the bodies, governing legislation and availability of decisions. There are also contact details, links to individual wesbites and full text decisions where available.

EUR-Lex is the European Union's own free database of legal and official texts, amounting to more than three million documents.
