European Commission for Democracy through Law

The European Commission for Democracy through Law, known as the Venice Commission, is a Council of Europe body that was established in 1990. Originally set up to assist Eastern European countries in the re-engineering of their constitutions, it now monitors and provides assistance to countries all around the world and has more than 60 member states. The website outlines the Commission's activities, which include providing advice and training to individual states on constitutional matters, elections and referendums and constitutional justice.

Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute

The Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute (PacLII) provides free internet access to legislation and cases for jurisdictions in the South Pacific. Islands covered by the service include American Samoa, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Guam, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. A site search form allows specific database selection and query with boolean functionality.

Bundesverfassungsgericht

Official website of the German Constitutional Court. Includes press releases, profiles of judges and background information on the organisation and functions of the Court. Judgments and press releases are provided (in German) back to 1998. Links are provided to other constitutional bodies in Germany and to constitutional courts in other countries. German and English versions of the site are available.

Nigeria Law

Website publishing judicial information and legal materials relating to the law of Nigeria. The site was set up by the International Centre for Nigerian Law, in association with the chambers of E.C.M. Obata. It carries the texts of the Nigerian Constitution, selected legislation (1990-2006, if still in force) and an index of laws from 1990 to 2000. The Law Reporting page carries judgments of the Supreme Court from 1909 onwards (incomplete). General information is provided about the Supreme Court, high courts and Court of Appeal.

Commonwealth Law Revision Commission

Official website for the Law Revision Commission in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Commonwealth is a United States jurisdiction consisting of fourteen tropical islands in the Micronesia region, east of the Philippines. The site outlines the work of the Commission and Commonwealth Legislature with contact details. Purchasing information relating to Commission publications is presented on the site.

Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Judgments

Website providing access to the Judgments of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC). The ECSC is the superior court for member states of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) including Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Montserrat. Judgments are available from 1996 onwards and can be searched using a simple or advanced search option. Judgements can be viewed in full-text in PDF or HTML formats. Recent judgements are listed separately.

Florida Law Online

An independent website developed by attorney James H. Wyman as a service for lawyers, students and the public. The site is a gateway to online legal information relating to the U.S. State of Florida. It covers Florida case law, court rules and forms; Florida laws (including the Constitution); the Florida Executive (including opinions of the Attorney General); the legislative process (including bills and legislative rules); municipal codes and ordinances; legal journals; and legal directories. The interface allows this information to be either searched or browsed.

Canada Industrial Relations Board

Website for the Canada Industrial Relations Board, formed in 1999, and replacing the former Canada Labour Relations Board. The CIRB is an independent quasi-judicial tribunal responsible for the interpretation and administration of Part I (Industrial Relations) and certain provisions of Part II (Occupational Safety and Health) of the Canada Labour Code. The site is available in English and French, and includes a database of summaries of the Board's decisions passed to date in HTML format.

Juridisk Nettviser

A resource site and Internet gateway service giving access in particular to Norwegian primary and secondary legal materials on the Internet as well as providing comprehensive link collections covering other Nordic countries (including Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland and Sweden, other jurisdictions round the world and international and European law in general.) The service has been developed as a joint project by the Law faculties at the Universities of Oslo, Bergen and Tromso in Norway.

Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island

Official website for the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island included on the website of the Government of Prince Edward Island in Canada. The Supreme Court consists of two divisions, the Appeal Division and the Trial Division. The site contains a database containing the written reasons for the justices' decisions or judgments, or the case headnotes only, as from 1997 onwards. The database can be searched by date, subject, and keyword.
