Collection of international agreements entered into by the EU. Part of the EUR-Lex database. it comprises bilateral and multilateral treaty texts, with information about their validity and dates of effect, and links to related documents. It can be browsed by policy area - under 'Directory of international agreements' - or searched. The collection does not include the founding treaties, nor other fundamental treaties: these are found in the separate 'Treaties' collection on EUR-Lex. EUR-Lex is available in all the official languages of the EU.

An overview of the policy area is provided, together with links to documents including the OECD Privacy Guidelines; the 2022 'Declaration on government access to personal data held by private sector entities'; and the 2007 'Recommendation on co-operation in cross-border enforcement of privacy law'. The guide gives an introduction to CIL and outlines sources of state practice including official pronouncements, treaties, national laws and the documentation of international organisations and courts. Printed and online research resources are suggested, such as foreign ministry websites and yearbooks of international law.
Fishlex is a database produced by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization, an online version of the Coastal State Requirements for Foreign Fishing. It gives details of national legislation relating to foreign fishing in waters under national jurisdiction and of the participation of each country in relevant international agreements. Links to national legislation and international agreements are provided, where available. Fishlex can be searched by country, regional organisation or broad geographical area.
Gobal database of treaties, laws and regulations concerning food, agriculture and renewable natural resources, provided by the UN's Food and Agriculture OrganizatioN (FAO). Includes bibliographic information, abstracts and links to full-text documents. The site is in English, Arabic, French or Spanish and the data is in either the same languages or in the original language of the document.
Global collection of water law information maintained by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization. Part of the FAOLex service, it provides national legislation from around the world, together with international agreements and information about transboundary waters. For selected jurisdictions there are also outlines of the national regulatory framework relating to water.
Online guide to international agreements dealing with fresh water written by retired US research librarian Arundhati A. Satkalmi. The guide was published in 2007 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website, which is run by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University. The author gives an introduction to the subject and includes links to major agreements, collections of water treaties, international organisations, international water commissions and to individual articles, bibliographies and judgments.

The guide forms a chapter of the American Society of International Law's Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law. Originally written by Charlotte Bynum, Reference Librarian at Tulane Law Library, it was been updated in 2015 by Gloria Miccioli, Librarian at US law firm Manatt, Phelps and Phillips.
