European Young Bar Association

Website of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA) an organisation whose purpose is to "encourage links between and to promote the interests and welfare of young lawyers throughout geographical Europe". The EYBA membership includes various young lawyers groups around Europe. There is information about the Association and contact details of committee members. The current issue of EYBA's journal, Eurolawyer is made freely available online in PDF. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

European Association of Law and Economics

Founded in 1984, the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE) is concerned with the economic analysis of law in Europe. Its website is hosted by York University and provides background information about EALE and details of current and previous conferences. The links section covers law and economics journals, other law and economics associations, graduate programs and vacant positions in the field.

Bar European Group

Website of the Bar European Group (BEG), a specialist bar association of the Bar of England and Wales relevant for those practising or interested in European law and issues surrounding the European Union. The site gives information about BEG's activities, details of events and other relevant material. The site also has membership information and a page of related Web links.

Free Patents Online

Free Patents Online (FPO) provides a searchable database of patent records. The site was established by patent searcher James Ryley and includes US and European patents and abstracts of Japanese patents. The database currently holds all patents published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) since December 1976. Images can be viewed in PDF or TIFF formats. There is background information on patents and trademarks and help with using the database.

FLARE - Foreign Law Research

FLARE is a collaborative project whose aim is to improve the provision of foreign, comparative and international law materials to the UK research community. The project members are the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Library, the Bodleian Law Library, the Squire Law Library, the British Library, and the School of Oriental and African Studies Library.

Social Security Programs Throughout the World

A four volume series covering social security systems in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, Africa, and the Americas, produced by the US Social Security Administration (SSA) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and made freely available on the SSA Website. This reference work provides summaries of social security systems in individual countries up to 2018/19. The publication has now ceased, but the website links to ISSA country profiles that are still updated.

European Advertising Standards Alliance

Website of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) a non-profit organisation based in Brussels bringing together national advertising self-regulatory organisations for the advertising industry in Europe. The organisation's membership comprises national advertising self-regulatory organisations and other associations within the industry who support self-regulation. The site includes information about self-regulation and a copy of the EASA Charter.

Same-Sex Marriage: A Selective Bibliography of the Legal Literature

Online bibliography compiled by Paul Axel-Lute of the Rutgers Law Library at the Rutgers School of Law-Newark in the United States. The bibliography was first published in September 2002 and was last updated in June 2010. The emphasis is on US law and the bibliography provides references and links to materials supporting both sides of the argument. There is a brief introduction giving background and historical information to the movement for same-sex marriage and the first part of the bibliography includes web based resources and books.
