Schnapf Environmental Law Center

The Schnapf Environmental Law Center was founded in 1998 by US lawyer Lawrence P. Schnapf. The Center's site publishes extracts from selected environmental reports covering significant US state and federal decisions on environmental issues. Brief introductions are given to topics such as brownfield sites, pollution, hazardous waste, due diligence and disclosure of environmental liabilities. A newsletter is available on subscription and there are links to a variety of federal environmental resources.

NetRegs

NetRegs aims to provide practical assistance to managers of small or medium sized businesses in Scotland and Northern Ireland to help them comply with their environmental responsibilities. Produced jointly by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, it is designed specifically to help clarify and simplify the environmental legislation affecting manufacturing and service sector operations. The site provides guidance by environmental topic or business type. 

Journal of International Wildlife Law & Policy

Web pages of the Journal of International Wildlife Law & Policy, published by Taylor and Francis and produced in conjunction with the Whittier Law School, Los Angeles. The journal seeks to address the legal and political issues relating to humans' interrelationship with, and management of, wildlife, their habitats and the biosphere. Contents lists with abstracts are available from volume 1 (1998) to the current issue; from 2003 onwards it is also possible to buy individual articles or journal issues online.

Environmental Law Institute

The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) is a not-for-profit research and education institute based in Washington, US, which aims to shape the fields of environmental law, policy, and management in the US and beyond. The site provides information about the work of the ELI, including an overview of its programs relating to water resources; land and biodiversity; and innovation in governance. There is a searchable database of more than 4000 official guidance and policy documents, which ELR subscribers and Associates of the ELI can download for free, while others are charged a small fee.

West Coast Environmental Law

Website of West Coast Environmental Law (WCEL), an environmental law and advocacy organisation based in British Columbia, Canada. The site provides information on WCEL's issues and programs including details of publications, news, campaign updates and links under these headings: climate change; environmental deregulation; water; forestry; oil, gas and mining; toxics and urban growth and development. The site offers an online library catalogue, newsletters and annual reports. WCEL publications can be downloaded in full.

Harvard Environmental Law Review

Website for the Harvard Environmental Law Review, (ISSN 0147-8257), published biannually since 1976, and edited by students at the Harvard Law School, aided by an advisory board of lawyers and academics. The journal publishes articles on a broad range of environmental affairs, including land use; air, water and noise regulation; toxic substances control; radiation control; energy use; workspace pollution; science and technology control; and resource use and regulation.

Globelaw

The Globelaw website provides resources concerning international environmental law and transnational litigation. It is run by the international and environmental law practitioner Duncan Currie and features papers, articles and presentations by him, together with a few cases and links to treaties and other materials on the web. The site includes introductions to subjects including oceans, climate, biodiversity and biosafety and nuclear power.

Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law

Website for the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law (ISSN 0892-4480) published twice a year by Florida State University College of Law. The journal publishes articles, essays, comments and book reviews considering a range of environmental topics relating to the state of Florida, Federal US and internationally. The site provides the full-text of articles from volume 10, no.1 (fall 1994) onwards in PDF. The site includes submission and subscription details and includes links to environmental law resources and Florida Government resources on the internet.

Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review

Website of the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review, a print journal published quarterly by students at Boston College Law School, Newton, USA and made freely available in full text online. Publication began in 1971. Each issue contains articles by prominent outside authors as well as student contributions. The focus on environmental issues is interpreted broadly to allow discussion of related and diverse topics such as global warming, corporate liability for environmental damages, animal rights, the tobacco industry, and kosher food laws.
