Official website of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands judiciary. The Commonwealth is a jurisdiction of the United States consisting of fourteen tropical islands in Micronesia. The site provides background and historical information about the courts and the Northern Mariana Islands. Profiles of the justices and contact details are given for the Supreme Court and the Superior Court. The Administration section provides information on Bar admissions, court forms and annual reports. Official website of the Judiciary of Puerto Rico. The site has information aimed at judges, citizens, lawyers and law students and there are sections giving background to the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance and the administration of the courts. There is organisational information about the Judiciary along with details of the judges and the work of the Judicial Academy. Órgano Judicial de la República de Panamá

Official website of the Panamanian Judiciary. The site provides background and organisational information about the judiciary and court structure in Panama. There is information on the work of the different sections of the department dealing with mediation, victims of crime, judicial education and legal aid. Profiles are given of judges sitting in the Supreme Court, the High Courts and the Superior Courts in Panama and there are links to related Panamanian legal sites. The site is available in Spanish throughout.

Royal Court of Justice of Bhutan

Official website of the Bhutan judiciary and Royal Court of Justice. The site provides information on the structure of the courts in Bhutan and an outline of the legal system. There are sections covering court procedures, judicial reforms and the appointment of judges. Legislation relevant to the courts is provided in full text on the site including the Civil and Criminal Procedure Code, the Penal Code, the Evidence Act of Bhutan and the Judicial Service Act.

Supreme Court of Tasmania

Official website of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. The site provides the court's sentencing comments from 2002 onwards and guidance about finding judgments on AustLII. There is also information for people attending court, and for jurors, guidance about probate, and a collection of speeches and articles. Procedural information is available, including court forms and practice directions,

Cambodia Tribunal Monitor

The Cambodia Tribunal Monitor is a consortium of academic and non-profit organisations providing news, information and commentary on the work of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), the special court set up to investigate and bring to justice senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge. The site has background and historical information about the Tribunal and the Khmer Rouge regime. There is documentation, webcasts of trial proceedings and video and written commentaries on the Tribunal.

Employment Court of New Zealand

Official website of the New Zealand Employment Court, which has jurisdiction over employment disputes. The site provides information on the history, role and structure of the court and gives an outline of its founding legislation. There is guidance on bringing a case and judgments are available from 2006 onwards, together with practice directions, court forms, statistics and other information.

Diversity and Fairness in the Jury System

Report on Diversity and Fairness in the Jury System written by Cheryl Thomas with Nigel Balmer and published by the Research Unit of the UK Ministry of Justice in June 2007. The report presents findings from the Jury Diversity Project looking at under representation of ethnic minorities on juries and the effect of ethnicity on jury decision making. There are chapters in the report dealing with the following issues: juror summoning; jurors who serve and do not serve; jurors at court and jury decision making.

Center for Jury Studies

The Center for Jury Studies is a research organisation and project funded by the National Center for State Courts in the United States. The Center provides technical assistance to state and local courts on jury system management. Examples of this work can be downloaded from the site. Topics covered include representation of ethnic minorities on juries, juror stress, hung juries and the impact of Employer Tax on increasing the size of the juror pool.
