High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland Queen's Bench Division Decisions

A BAILII database containing decisions of the Northern Ireland High Court of Justice, Queen's Bench Division. Contains all decisions from 1999 onwards, as well as a few earlier cases. Decisions can be browsed by party name or year and there is a search facility. The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) provides free access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice

Web pages of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice, based in the School of Law at Queen's University Belfast. The Institute was founded in 1994 and its aim is to carry out research and postgraduate teaching in the fields of criminology and criminal justice. Contact details for law centres are provided, together with policy and research documents, leaflets and a newsletter. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Civil Law Reform Division

Website of the Civil Law Reform Division (CLRD) of the Department of Finance and Personnel in Northern Ireland. This department is responsible for reform of private family law, trusts and property law, tort, contract law and private international law. The site provides details of current projects, downloadable consultation papers and reports and links to related documents such as legislation.

Department for Communities - Law and Legislation

The Department for Communities is a department of the Northern Ireland Executive. Its key responsibilities are housing, social policy, social security and child welfare. This site features electronic collections of current Northern Ireland (NI) social security and child welfare legislation, and links to NI legislation relating to housing and social policy (such as licensing laws). There is also a link to the Northern Ireland Digest of Case Law database which includes decisions of the Social Security Commissioners and Child Support Commissioners for Northern Ireland.

Independent Case Examiner

Section of the UK government website covering the Independent Case Examiner (ICE), who investigates complaints made by users of agencies including the Child Support Agency, the Child Maintenance Service, Jobcentre Plus, the Pension Service, the Disability and Carers Service, Debt Management, Pension Wise and the Pension Protection Fund. Provides guidance on how to make a complaint and how complaints will be dealt with, additional information about the work of the ICE, annual reports and news items about the service.

Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland

Official website of the Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland a court whose role is to settle disputes relating to land and buildings. The Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland was established by the Lands Tribunal and Compensation Act (NI) 1964 and deals with appeals concerning the valuation of land for rate relief purposes, compensation for the compulsory acquisition of land, renewal of business tenancies and consent for alterations to land.
