The Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland was established by the Lands Tribunal and Compensation Act (NI) 1964 and deals with appeals concerning the valuation of land for rate relief purposes, compensation for the compulsory acquisition of land, renewal of business tenancies and consent for alterations to land.
