This site provides free access to the official charter of the United Nations.The Charter of the United Nations was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the conclusion of the United Nations Conference on International Organization, and came into force on 24 October 1945. The Statute of the International Court of Justice is an integral part of the Charter.It sets out the purpose, main organs and role of the United Nations. The website also offers a history of the charter and details about amendments and signatories.
Conditions of Work and Employment Database
This legal database is a collection of employment and conditions of employment laws made freely available by the Conditions of Work and Employment Programme (TRAVAIL) at the International Labour Organization (ILO). The database is organised into three sections covering maternity protection, minimum wages and working time. Legislation relating to maternity protection covers maternity leave, protection from discrimination and health protection.
Indigenous and Tribal Peoples
This section of the International Labour Organization (ILO) website deals with the employment rights of indigenous and tribal peoples. There is background information on the ILOãs work with indigenous and tribal peoples and details of ILO projects designed to provide support and assistance to these people and to governments. Full text copies of international legal instruments promoting the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples are provided on the site along with their ratifications and an account of the effects these conventions have had.
Exploring Humanitarian Law
Exploring Humanitarian Law (EHL) is an online education programme designed by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Education Development Center Inc. (EDC). EHL is a free resource providing learning and teaching materials aimed at the 13 to 18 age group. The materials are organised into modules covering topics such as the humanitarian perspective, limits in armed conflict, the law in action, dealing with violations and responding to the consequences of armed conflict.
Constitution of Bhutan
Electronic copy of the 2008 Constitution of Bhutan made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution has sections on citizenship and the rights and duties of citizens. There are also articles on the role of the monarchy, an outline of the governmental system and the functions of various other official bodies.

National Labour Law Profiles is a free web resource provided by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Although it is no longer updated, it continues to be made available to support historical comparative law purposes.

This section of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website provides information on the protection of indigenous peoples' traditional knowledge (TK), genetic resources (GR) and traditional cultural expressions (TCE). There are details of the work being undertaken to safeguard, record and digitize cultural heritage. Documentation and decisions from the conferences, meetings and seminars of the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore are also provided.
