Constitution of Afghanistan

This site contains the full-text of the 2004 Afghanistan Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This ICL edition is an unofficial version of the Constitution which was adopted by the Loya Jirga (Grand Council) on 3 Jan 2004. The Constitution describes the powers of the state, the rights and duties of the citizens and the role and functions of the President, the National Assembly, the Loya Jirga and the Government.

Detailed search facilities are available and documents can be browsed by subject or meeting. It is also possible to browse the most recent or most popular material on the database.

Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks

Information about the Madrid System For the International Registration of Trademarks, on the World Intellectual Property Organization's website. The site gives an overview of the System, along with a more detailed procedural guide. The relevant legal texts are made available, including the Madrid Protocol, the Madrid Agreement, Common Regulations and Administrative Instructions. Information notices relating to changes or amendments in the system are provided, along with forms and other details.

Claims Resolution Tribunal

The Claims Resolution Tribunal was established to resolve claims relating to assets deposited in Swiss banks before and during the Second World war by victims of the Holocaust. The claims process is part of the settlement of the Holocaust Victim Assets class action litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The website provides information on the legal authority of the tribunal, its organisation, management and annual reports. There are lists of people with accounts, details of awards made by the Tribunal and cases where claims have been denied.

International Environmental Law Research Centre

Website of the International Environmental Law Research Centre (IELRC), a non-profit research organisation established in 1995 and based in Switzerland. The work of the IELRC focuses on international environmental legal issues. There is organisational information on the site and details of the IELRC's work which includes research, consultancy and teaching. Details are given of IELRC research programmes which cover biodiversity, climate change, human rights and intellectual property. Related articles are included as HTML or PDF documents.

An online version of the 1991 Romanian Constitution (amended to 2003) made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution includes sections on fundamental rights and freedoms, the role of the President, the passing of legislation and the organisation and functions of Parliament, the Government, judicial authority, the Constitutional Court, local government, armed forces and the police. World Intellectual Property Organization: Database of WIPO Cases and WIPO Panel Decisions

A free database of internet domain name dispute cases, provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva. The Center offers alternative dispute resolution services in international commercial disputes between private parties. All the domain name cases back to 1999 are available in the database, searchable by domain name, key word, party names or case number. The full text of the decisions is available. The site also provides indexes of decisions by domain name category and by legal point, together with lists of the most-cited cases.
