Australian Network for Japanese Law

The Australian Network for Japanese Law is maintained by the College of Law at the Australian National University, the Faculty of Law at Bond University and the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney. Membership is not required to view the site, but is free and offers notifications of upcoming events and conferences. Aside from lists of events, courses and publications, the site also provides some full-text and abstracted articles (from the Journal of Japanese Law) and research papers.

English Reports

A CommonLII database providing free access to the English Reports, a collection of the most important cases reported between 1220 and 1873. Decisions can be searched or browsed by case name or date and downloaded in PDF format. Data has been supplied by online legal publisher, Justis. The Commonwealth Legal Information Institute (CommonLII) is a collaborative service providing free access to primary legal materials from Commonwealth and common law countries and territories.

LawCite

LawCite is an international case citator developed by AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute. It is a searchable index to millions of cases, journal articles and law reform reports. The main focus is on common law jurisdictions, including numerous Commonwealth countries, Ireland, the United States and Hong Kong. Links to the full text are given, where available. Cases can be searched by citation, parties, court, jurisdiction and date; journal articles can be searched by keywords in the title and author.

International Treaties Collection

The International Treaties Collection is a project of WorldLII (World Legal Information Institute) which brings together collections of multilateral and bilateral treaties from the following Legal Information Institute (LIIs): AsianLII; AustLII; HKLII; NZLII; PacLII and CommonLII. The content includes treaties sponsored by many different intergovernmental organisations, from APEC to WIPO, together with numerous national treaty series; these collections can be searched individually or together, or browsed individually.

Laws of Bhutan

Selected laws of Bhutan are available here on the AsianLII (Asian Legal Information Institute) website. They can be browsed alphabetically by title, or by date. AsianLII is a free access to law initiative led by AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute).

Tasmanian Bar

Association of independent barristers based in Tasmania and constituent member of the Australian Bar Association. The Tasmanian Bar's website provides barristers' profiles and contact details and gives links to Tasmanian legal resources. There is also CPD information and news.

Supreme Court of Tasmania

Official website of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. The site provides the court's sentencing comments from 2002 onwards and guidance about finding judgments on AustLII. There is also information for people attending court, and for jurors, guidance about probate, and a collection of speeches and articles. Procedural information is available, including court forms and practice directions,

Supreme Court of Queensland Library

The Library at the Supreme Court of Queensland in Australia provides legal information to the Queensland courts, the legal profession, researchers and the public. Its website has details of collections and services, a database of case law from the courts of Queensland and a guide to researching Australian law. There is a database of brief profiles of current and former members of the Queensland judiciary, including speeches they have made.
