International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

Website of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) a "worldwide association of practising lawyers who are recognised by their peers as the most experienced and expert family law specialists in their respective countries". The IAML was founded in 1986 and their aim is to improve international family law practice throughout the world. The website provides background information about the work of the academy, gives profiles of it's members and officials and details of events. Copies of the IAML Newsletter are available in PDF on the website.

ABA Section of Family Law

Website for the American Bar Association Family Law Section which was formed in 1958 to improve the administration of justice in family law and to "serve as the national leader in the field of marital and family law". Membership is drawn from family law practitioners and law students. The Family Law Section deals with legal issues such as divorce, custody, adoption, paternity, child abduction and mediation. There are sections aimed at members, students and the general public.

Islamic Family Law Project

The Islamic Family Law Project website is based at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. The Project surveyed the application of Islamic family law in a selection of countries and explored the possibilities for reform. A regional breakdown of Islamic countries around the world is given on the site, with a profile of each region consisting of historical and religious background, family issues, legal practices and institutions and a list of references.

Center on Children, Families, and the Law (The)

The Center on Children, Families, and the Law is located at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. It conducts research into public policy and the law relating to children and families. Selected publications are available on the website, including Nebraska Revised Statutes: Selected Provisions Pertaining to Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, and Vulnerable Adults (known as the "Red Book").

UK College of Family Mediators

The UK College of Family Mediators is based in London and sets standards for training and practice for family mediators in the United Kingdom. Family mediation is a process designed to help separating couples agree practical arrangements with regard to divorce, children, property and finance. The College holds a searchable register of members who meet their standards and promotes family mediation to the public. Their website contains information aimed at family mediators and people interested in training to become a family mediator.

International Society of Family Law

Web pages describing the aims and work of scholarly society the International Society of Family Law (Association Internationale de Droit de la Famille, or Internationale Gessellschaft fur Familienrecht). The website is hosted at Brigham Young University in the United States. It provides information about membership and key officers, together with details of publications and conferences, copies of the ISFL Family Letter and a page of web links. Parts of the site are restricted to members.

Family Court of Australia Cases

A web database, forming part of the AustLII service, containing judgments of the Family Court of Australia from 1982 onwards as selected by the Court. Some materials are anonymised by the Family Court. Cases are in HTML format. A case name search and list of recent cases are provided. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute has been developed by the University of Technology in Sydney to provide public access to primary legal materials. The database is funded and supported by the Law Foundation of New South Wales.

Family Court of Hong Kong Judgments

A HKLII database containing selected judgments of the Family Court of Hong Kong from 1973 onwards. Materials are in HTML format. Judgment title and text search options are provided with browsing lists by case name and year. The Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII) is a joint project to provide free access to the primary legal materials of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The project partners are the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law and AUSTLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Supreme Court of Nova Scotia Family Division Decisions

A collection of decisions carried by a CanLII database including all judgments rendered by the Family Division of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia from January 2001 onwards. Decisions can be searched or browsed by date. CanLII, the Canadian Legal Information Institute, is a key service providing free access to Canadian primary legal materials. The service has been designed by LexUM at the University of Montreal (using software developed by AustLII) on the initiative of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.

England and Wales High Court (Family Division) Decisions

A British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) database containing selected decisions of the Family Division of the High Court of England and Wales. The database includes all decisions from 2001 onwards made available to the Court Service and public. Cases are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and section highlighting Recent Cases.
